The powerful ancient Equestrian spell Sunset once cast to open the portal created an imbalance that was never fully resolved. Her arrival in the human world displaced someone, an innocent character we've never seen, yet whose absence is felt every time Sunset is on screen. In this version of the story, we'll finally uncover what really happened to the human Sunset Shimmer.

Though Rainbow Dash is mad at first, once she gets to know Applejack she starts to enjoy spending time with her, and it seems like the feelings are mutual. But, not long after, people at Canterlot High have started to go missing. Rainbow Dash has her suspicions when she notices the blonde hair the perpetrator has. Rainbow Dash starts earning her and Applejack detentions on purpose, using it as an excuse to investigate (and developing unwanted feelings for her along the way).
