When I was young, my classmates had me believing that I was a 'big girl' and didn't match the beauty standards of the then society. Bullied by most of the people in school, I had still managed to make some good friends. Tables turned when I started developing feelings for one of my guy friends and to my astonishment, there was perfect reciprocation. A girl who had been isolated by the major population of the high-school, it was like a dream come true- "To be loved."
Dev and I went through the honeymoon phase perfectly. We used to hang-out almost five days a week. Born and brought up in a conservative family, my heart yearned for freedom- and freedom was when I used to be with Dev, holding hands, talking about anything and everything. I wanted more and more of him. We were head over heels in love with each other. It lasted for about a year and then things went deep down to the abyss.
One fine morning, I was on my way to school, when I realised Dev had been absent for two consecutive days which was very unusual of him. I enquired to his best friend Abhi about his absence. Abhi gave a strange smirk and replied "The game has already started". I was confused and scared I knew Dev was a hustle and liked to get things done in his own way. The game started.....
