Orange County was flooded with ocean water and geysers hundreds of feet tall roared through hotels. Destroying homes and causing mass destruction. The waves charged through the streets. Smashing down boats and drowning people in its way. "Ellie," her dad hollered over the waves. He grabbed her arm and pushed her down the stairs; into the safe room. "Lock the door behind you."

This is a short story submitted for Wattpad's Mystery Contest. He thought of his talent as a curse. Aloof and fragmented, it was more bothersome than special. He tried to compress and bury it like a childhood memory but it only grew stronger, gaining strength within the shadows of his mind.
