Music was her language, her heartbeat, her only way of understanding the world. Her life revolved around composing songs that could heal, comfort, and reach those who were hurting-because she knew that kind of pain too well. Her world was small, quiet, and safe-until one night, during a late call with Ena, Mafuyu, and Mizuki, something strange happened. After their call ended, her monitor flickered. A website she didn't recognize appeared-its name unreadable, its colors distorted. The cursor moved on its own, dancing across the screen as if something alive was watching her. She tried to turn it off. She tried to pull away. But before she could even blink- The screen pulled her in. Now trapped in a world of rust, ruin, and chaos, (Y/N) must navigate the harsh lands of Gachiakuta, where survival depends not on kindness, but on strength. Yet even in this broken world, her music refuses to fall silent. With her mysterious Vital Instrument, a harp that can heal, defend, and fight, (Y/N) becomes an unexpected light among the darkness. Haunted by her past and driven by her compassion, she'll learn that even the softest melody can echo louder than any scream. But in a place where beauty is punished and kindness is a weapon- Will her music save others... or destroy her instead?

Johnny lives a peaceful, luxurious, and mind-numbingly boring life in a giant house near a tiny town called Bardok - with rich parents, a dog that doesn't bark, and a grandma who insists on telling horror stories right before bed (because of course, that's when you want to hear about people vanishing into the night). But one night - the full moon rises, clouds swallow the sky, the lights in Bardok go out, and the world falls silent. Not the peaceful kind of silence... the kind that means something is coming. The next morning, Johnny's parents are gone. Just... gone. Determined to find them, Johnny steps into a town transformed into a nightmare: empty streets, cold winds, thick shadows, and a mad spirit on the loose - hunting, snatching, and erasing every trace. And that old lady? She's no longer offering cookies. Only cryptic advice, mysterious warnings, and help that somehow leads to more danger. And Johnny keeps wondering: Why the hell am I still listening to her? To survive - and maybe save his parents - Johnny must journey through fear, secrets, and shadows. And along the way, he might just realize... those boring days he used to complain about? Maybe they weren't so bad after all. .P.S. Johnny's not exactly the silent type

As I looked closer, I realized each picture was empty. Pictures of corners of rooms, locations, and plain blank colors. Each setting was void of people except for one or two with the man who welcomed me into the home. He was in a few, smiling, arms up as if to hug people close to him, a happy smile painted on his face, arms settling at odd angles or set on someones shoulder, or on an object which seemed to have disappeared. I traced the frames with a finger, lifting it and realizing it was coated in a thick layer of dust. I had a strange urge to clear the whole frame of dust, but kept my hands to myself. A shoe heel tapped gently against the wood floors. I turned sharply to find the man, holding a tray with a tea kettle and two cups. "Tea?" He asked. "To settle the nerves. Someone who's lost must have a lot of...nerves." He watched my movements carefully, seeming to analyze each step I made. "Tea." I said. I looked back at the picture frame, then at him. I decided he was a man with a strange hobby and nothing more. But a kind man is a kind man, and no strange hobby could make a kind man a dangerous man. But, I noted quietly, perhaps several does. "Tea would be nice, thank you." I smiled at him and he returned it, seeming to mirror my mannerisms. Neither of us stepped forward. The floorboards creaked.

So, I know my fanfics, like most, are 'x reader'. But not this one. I know most people don't like the trope of adding in your own character, but let's hope I did a good job of it! Helena Bellerose is an elven character from 'The Arcana'. She is an OC, as well as Asra's apprentice. I've even made a story about her design if you'd like to go check that out before reading this fanfiction. If you are not particularly fond of the 'Character x OC' type of story, then might I suggest you go and read my other stories on here. I haven't finished all of the routes in Arcana yet, so I'm not 100% exact that I'll get their characters right, but I'll try my luck at it! Regardless of how you feel about the inclusion of OC's being in stories such as this one. I hope you find it enjoyable! Thank you for your patience, the story shall commence shortly... :)

Seventeen-year-old Grace Lincoln moves to Lake Hope, Wisconsin from San Diego, California. Grace's time in a small town is not all sunshine and rainbows though. She meets an obnoxious queen bee, a rude boy, and is confronted with a murder two weeks after her arrival. Now, she has to work with said rude boy to find the murderer. Can Grace crack the case before time runs out and she ends up the next victim? Will she fall in love as she searches for clues? Stay tuned for Grace Lincoln: Love and Murder. ~ ~ ~ Author's Note: To my knowledge, Lake Hope, Wisconsin is completely fictitious. If it is a real place, the two are not the same. All of the characters are original. However, there will be occasional celebrity mentions. I don't know any of the celebrities personally, so any comment from any of my characters about them may or may not be true. Therefore, please do not assume I know any of the celebrities and that anything said of them is true. Reader discretion is strongly advised. This story is PG-13+ (mentions of minor bullying, some romance, and, of course, murder). 1.) I'm against every kind of bullying. I won't tolerate any of the like on my page or within my chapters. Sadly, bullying is a real issue in many schools across America and even other countries. For authenticity purposes, some bullying is displayed. Due to many people who have experienced terrible bullying in school, it's only minor. IF any form of bullying in stories triggers anyone, please do not read this work. I don't want any of my readers to relive the painful memories and have to restart their healing process. You are all beautiful and strong, and I stand with you! 2.) Murder is morally and ethically wrong and illegal. No way, shape, or form is it okay. If murder scenes make you queasy/uncomfortable, my book is not for you.
