Take a private, expensive, exclusive, but definitely non-magical preparatory school in the wealthy hills of New Jersey. Add one teenage boy from a regular, free public high school in a working-class town, who happens to have an extraordinary memory; not only of his own life, but generations of his family before him. And did I mention his prophetic dreams? He meets a teenage girl with an even stranger condition; bad things happen to anyone who hurts her in any way, and she has no idea why. Then add in some rich bullies, a terrifying memory block, a long-dead magician who tended to dress strangely, Tarot cards, a Ouija board, a family curse, and the raising of a departed spirit who has a taste for Polish sausage. Selkies only come on land every 7 years to dance, before returning back to the sea, in the body of a seel, they have a white coat in human form, in wich they call their skin, without the coat, they cannot return to the ocean as a seel, leaving them tied to the earth, but seeing as the ocean is their true love, they will always love the ocean, more than anything, and will eventually die of heart brake, if left tied to the shores for too long. Legends speek of sailors who steel their coats, and force them to be their wives, and say they do make excellent wives, but their love will always be the ocean, usually, when given the chance, will steal their skin back, and return to the ocean, where a male selkie awaits his love. They are also considered mer people. These 4 teens are different species, but will come together to discover the wonders of the ocean, and who's to say they don't take a trip on land, to see what secrets the marine tribes, kept hidden from Society on the markings of land.

Her breathing was heavy as she gazed around with terrified eyes. The wind had stopped. The music was gone. The only things around her were the woods. She gasped as a twig snapped from somewhere around her. Willow lay on the ground, unharmed, but unconscious.
