These are a compilation of one-shots I've posted on A03 for My time at Sandrock. I thought I'd share them on here as well :) Enjoy!

Little is known regarding Unsuur's past, or at the very least, the few who do know talk about it, but he did have to end up there somehow. Disclaimer - I don't own My Time At Sandrock. This was written for the Froday amnesty for July 2022, which was posted a bit later than usual for prompt 11.21. It was also written for the following Plot Bunny Obstacle Course prompt with the word list I generated being: seem, grace, lose, lay, endure, side, and tooth. Words which are to be used are in bold. Prompt: Generate a word bank of 5-7 random words and build a plot using at minimum 3 of them. For more of a challenge, you can only refresh your word bank twice and must choose one of those sets of words. Example: If the words were "joy, confront, bike, return, paradox, scream" you might decide to use "joy, return, paradox" to write a time-loop/time-travel fix-it fic. Or maybe you use "confront, bike, scream" to write a story about a bike messenger during a zombie apocalypse.

Saffron simply thought of Sandrock as a place for her to take photographs which might jump-start her photography career while getting her family off her back. Disclaimer - I don't own My Time At Sandrock which I'm playing now that it's in early release and I'm having a blast. This was written for the first regular Froday challenge for June 2022 the word being decorative with my mind instantly going to the fact in the My Time At games you get to decorate your own place while also realizing that the one-shot I wanted to write involving an outsider coming in and crushing on Arvio fit the bill. Only, I didn't realize until I started writing that she'd like Owen and Unsurr as well.

There are a lot of things Unsuur is unsure about, but he's quite sure the local owner of the Blue Moon Saloon - Owen, doesn't like him, just as sure as his memories of his time prior to being a member of Logan's gang are a mangled mess. One of the characters must have a secret, I must use the words, "We need to go back to the beginning to figure this out" and it must end at a cliffhanger. Here's my story.

Disclaimer - I don't own My Time At Sandrock. This was written for the orange belt for Write to Rank 2022. The prompt was to write a 750-800 word story where, "urban exploration is a hobby, but tonight something feels...wrong. What happens?" I also have to write in an active voice. Originally I was going to focus on the builder's hometown and the use of gliding to explore that urban area, but then I looked into what urban exploring is and realize that exploring abandoned buildings is what one does when one relic hunts counts. For those who don't know the fandom, the Corrupted Age is what led to the post-appocaluptic setting and from that there are a lot of abandoned buildings.

When Mi-an moves to Stardew Valley, despite already knowing her from his childhood in the Alliance of the Free Cities that is now a part of the empire, Sebastian finds himself struggling to speak with her. Disclaimer - This was written for 5+1 which fulfills the criteria of trying something new for the June 2023 monthly Froday challenge as well as Froday Madness 24 and it also fulfills the second regular challenge for June which is patience.Prompt: 5 times Character A almost talked to Character B and the 1 time they did.

Prompt - Christmas song parody for a fandom of choice. As for the songs, I picked the poem Twas the Night Before Christmas and Jingle Bell Rock and came up with this.

Owen extends friendship to everyone who moves to Sandrock, including Justice's new deputy. Disclaimer - I don't own My Time At Sandrock. This is written for the monthly Froday challenge for June 2022 which involves the zodiac signs and for this I went with Owen's spring birthday of the second being equivalent to March 2 making him a Pisces while attempting to focus on compassionate, kind and sympathetic while hopefully tossing in a bit of the imaginative and intuitive in there. There are no major spoilers for the game in his fic, just speculation on my part based on what little I've played so far and certain headcanon that I thought would be fun. As for the rather odd things Unsuur said, it comes from looking at what he happens to like gift wise over on the Sandrock wiki at the time of writing this which happens to be a definite liking for rock and not having a negative reaction to manure like other characters do, which may definitely change once the game is no longer early access, but it will definitely stick when it comes to his character.

This was written for the second regular challenge for the Froday Flash Fiction Challenge for December 2021, but the word prompt is "confession". Of course, I've my own confession to make in that I've not yet played My Time At Sandirock (it's still in Beta), but when I saw Mi-an's character, my thoughts were - that's the what Yuki looks like. Which, yes - I know Yuki is Japanese and Mi-an is not. It still does work, given the fact Yuki actually always tied into a childhood nickname more than her real name.

Burgess knew he was the last person anybody, particularly someone in Civil Corps would want in a fight, yet there he was stuck with Unsuur feeling quite unsure. Disclaimer - I don't own My Time At Sandrock. This is written for the Yellow Belt round of right to rank where the goal was to write a 480-500 word story, but the prompt was, "Set the scene and create a dynamic dialogue between the two main characters. ... We want to see an unlikely alliance between two characters coming together to face a challenge." As for anything of note for those not familiar with the fandom, in this post-apocalyptic world, the Age of Corruption is the age that led to the apocalyptic state and the church is the Church of Light which has a stance against reviving the technology of the Age of Corruption as they believe doing so will result in yet another Age of Corruption. Oh, and no spoilers for the game. Unsuur formally being part of Logan's gang is speculation on my part. Logan and Unsuur's exact relationship is open to interpretation.

This was written for the Blue Belt rank for Write to Rank 2022 where the prompt was to write an action/fantasy mash-up between 1,150-1,200 words. And I thought when I saw the prompt I might have to change fandom. And then I thought, what if I went AU with a fairy tail instead of a Wild West setting. And then I thought, what if instead of an AU it was a story-within-a-story type story with someone telling Jasmine a story and Unsuur was the one who popped into my head. But then I thought, Puss in Boots in the Wild West - oh, I get to use Captain for this one! For those who don't know the fandom, Sandrock is a post-apocalyptic wild west town and Unsuur is a deputy in it's Civil Corps, Jasmine is the mayor's daughter and Captain is the third member of the Civil Corps, or so says Unsuur.

Sebastian doesn't take Maru's dream of becoming the first to create a true A.I. for a good reason, reasons Sebastian doesn't want to talk to her about. Disclaimer - I don't own Stardew Valley or My Time. This was written for the green belt round for Write to Rank 2023, where we were supposed to have a mash-up between sci-fi and action and I went with a post-apocalyptic setting where the achievements of the pre-apocalyptic society are being rediscovered. That's pretty much what those not familiar with the two series need to know, beyond the fact Sebastian and Maru are from Stardew and Arlo and Heidi from My Time, so the familial relationship is something created for the blending of these two fandom. Warning - Undisclosed fate of certain characters.
