Lacey Young a 17 year old girl with parents who are crueler than Satin himself. She's captain of Bridgeport High's varsity girls soccer team. She's dating the captain of the boys varsity soccer team. She's loved by all and is a shoe in for Homecoming Queen. Her life is pretty awesome. But when Lacey Young starts to fail US History, her parents flip and immediately hire her a tutor threatening to take away her spot on the team if she doesn't get her grades up. Lacey's outraged and it doesn't make it any better when her tutor is a cocky son of a gun who feels superior to everyone. She finds herself hating every fiber of Daniel Langsten's being. But she can't stop herself thinking he's kind of hot.
