Claire is nothing if not determined and optimistic, she got pass Uni and a terrible breakup all in one semester. She may be close to losing her sanity but she knew everything was going to be good. She may also not have her whole future planned but she knew it was also going to be good. At least that's what she tells herself. Maya had everything planned, what she was going to do after Uni, where she wanted to work, and whom she wanted to get married to. She only has one semester left before she graduates. But when life decides to take you for a ride, all you can do is just sit back and watch. Aliyah just turned 25, one quarter of her life completely wasted away with no job, no boyfriend, and a huge debt hanging above her head, she is now forced to take a job that she never thought she would have. Noah is used to a life with no strings attached. He comes and goes whenever he pleases and has no intention of ever settling down. He was a free spirit, a free spirit that roams world. Having been and there he was living the life he always dreamed of having. Harry wasn't always the charming type, he was nerdy and a complete loser. Now he's working at a law firm, has his own assistant, and is engaged to the girl of his dreams. But sometimes what you want isn't exactly what you need. Life has a funny way of making you realize things. Sure sometimes it kicks you in the ass and then laughs at you for falling. Sometimes it also helps you up. The 20's is fun only if you let it. The 20's will only be fun if you meet the right people who will make it worth it.

You've been my bestfriend for as long as I can remember. You've been there with me through everything. It's no wonder I fell in love with you. So when you read this think of me, because I've been thinking of you.

Healing isn't the easiest thing for me to do. I've tried to find it in between pages and rib cages. In loud rooms and the quiet of racing heartbeats. In poetry and rage. In that space between childhood and growing pains. In apologies that I refuse to give and all the love I never took. I am a container for my words that lose meaning if I say them out loud. So I write them down. I write all of it down. The changes of heart, the weakness in my knees, the one eternal autumn where I learnt to be whole. Take it as you will, healing is all I have to share.

Trouble always felt like my shadow, it followed me everywhere. Cursed me. I don't know how many times my shadow coiled its way around your neck. I can't account for the moments it grew tall and daunting in our finest moments. But love, you were stubborn. Like a rock you never moved, you remained by my side, no matter how tall it grew. And in my most treasured memories, you were victorious against the dark curse. I let my guard down; I stopped looking over my shoulder and kept my gaze on your golden orbs. And that will forever be my biggest mistake, for it grew tall in my ignorance and when I finally turn to it, it was taller than the highest peaks.
