So they basically started a cult religion that consisted of a naive Ugandan girl, an impulsive liar, and two gays who might or might not be in love. But that didn't mean they couldn't enjoy their time in Uganda while it lasted, right?

Kevin didn't want this to happen, except he wasn't sure if he'd wish for anything else. Besides, no worries, maybe not all is lost. He could go home after this, save money to go to college and get a job, then marry some girl his family welcomes with open arms. At least everyone might still be proud of him, then, and his failed mission could be all but a bittersweet memory of his young adulthood. It was all securely mapped out, which means everything will be fine, right?

This is an AU where Conner, who has , made an attempt on Kevin's life. He is in a mental ward unfortunately and believes he has killed his beloved. Hopefully Kevin can save him from himself.

It was fate that paired Kevin with his companion and newfound "best friend". It was fate that had sent Kevin to Uganda instead of somewhere much more pleasant, like Orlando. It was fate that caused Kevin to pass out at the bus station, before he could request a transfer. It was fate that showed Kevin the truth about his religion. It was fate that introduced Kevin into facing reality, and coming to realize the world didn't center around him. And it was fate that introduced Kevin to people who had changed his life, entirely. For better or worse, he wasn't sure. But, all that he knew now, was that these people, no matter how small they had been apart of his life in Uganda, meant more to them than anything he could ever imagine, for helping him to opening his eyes. Although, some people, meant just a little bit more than that...
