Je to cesta z temnoty, kde každé nadechnutí bolelo, až k momentu, kdy Kristýna našla sílu masku Pana Dokonalého strhnout. „Láska, která mi brala dech" není jen o domácím násilí a toxicitě. Je to především o vítězství jedné ženy, která se rozhodla, že už nikdy nebude obětí. Je to kniha o osvobození, o mateřské síle a o prvním skutečném nádechu svobody.
