IN WHICH Y/N L/N had written a song (Slow Dancing In The Dark) exactly one week before she checked her Spotify profile. Overwhelmed by the amount of popularity she has gained, she decides to check her emails for record company offers. Various different companies and managers requested to work with her, and spectacularly, Republic Records wanted her to sign with them. This gave Y/N a chance to reunite with her childhood best friend, Hailee Steinfeld. Unfortunately, the chance of Hailee remembering Y/N is very low. Their time together was short, but sweet. Y/N moved to Tarzana in the sixth grade, and her first and only friend was Hailee. Unlike Y/N, Hailee had many other friends, much closer ones. In the time that they hung out, Y/N had caught feelings for the slightly taller girl, but she was far too scared to admit it. Sadly, the duo's time together was cut short when Hailee moved to Colorado in the eighth grade for the shooting of "True Grit", her debut role. Hailee returned to the town's local high school in the ninth grade, but she had no interest in Y/N anymore. She was rather a big deal, and many other people found interest in her, both boys and girls. Y/N was heartbroken and determined to get her friend back eventually. Even to this day, she regrets not telling Hailee how she felt. She assumed her feelings would go away as time passed, but they never did. She was surrounded by the girl's face and couldn't help but follow her "friend's" journey through a screen. Now signed to Republic Records, Y/N is closer to Hailee than ever. A little flame of hope welled up in the girl when she spotted her old friend in the recording studio Y/N was supposed to sing in for a sample of a song. Now the hope that filled her was shattered when Hailee didn't remember Y/N. But that didn't stop Y/N. She was determined to rekindle their friendship, and hopefully, be more than friends.

"It would've been nice if I, for once, wasn't your second choice, because you were always my first one, Nadine!" - Thomas Nadine thought her life was a hellhole, that somewhat, someway, God decided to punish her in every possible and imaginable way: her brother was her mother's little sweet prince, loved and almost worshiped, while she was only considered the troublemaker, the difficult, outcast girl, practically a little she-devil, but not for her father. He was her only friend, the only one who seemed to love her unconditionally, but that didn't last long. After her father died she thought she had no hope, but just while she was thinking that, two angels showed up in her life, Thomas and Krista, two people she soon learned to call best friends. Thomas' life was everything but easy: his parents were the furthest possible there was from a happy married and loving couple, he recieved pressures left and right about his future, but worst of all his little sister had to pay the price of everything happening in that house. For the most part of their life they only had eachother to lean on, and even if the both of them were happy to have someone to talk to, Thomas wished to have something else, someone who could bring him out of the hell in his house just like he did with his sister. So, when he and Krista met Nadine Franklin, Thomas knew that she would've been his best friend for ever...or maybe more.
