After a few months of being separated from Hide, Kaneki decides to come back and visit him

Hide gets attacked by ghouls, and is saved by a ghoul he never thought would have cared.

Hide comes back from work at the CCG to the surprise of a wounded Kaneki in his apartment. (Cross-posted from AO3)

After being kidnapped and tormented by a gang of ghouls, Hide hopes that Kaneki will somehow save him, despite the fact that he hasn't seen or heard from the guy in over 6 months. Hide's wish comes true, but facing his ghoul best friend is a lot more complicated and scarier than Hide would have ever thought. (Cross-posted from AO3)

A light blonde haired man with brown highlights sighed as he rubbed at his temples. "What do I do..?" "H-Hide..?" a soft voice whispered from behind him, a weight slumping against his back. Rolling his eyes fondly, the man- Hide, chortled and turned around with a smile. "Woah," he exclaimed, "speak of the devil!" "Hide!" "Sorry, sorry, 'Neki!" Hide laughed as he felt a face nuzzle into his shoulder and hands clutch at his arm. "What's up?" He asked turning around. "Oh 'Neki..." Face softening, the man smiled genuinely. Behind him, in all her glory stood his lovely and heavily pregnant wife that he loves so. Hide watches gleefully as the woman's cheeks flushed and her grip on his arm tightened. "Well?" He hummed. Kaneki's flushed a brighter red as she stammered, "I-I'm hungry.."

It just might not be as detailed as others. Preferences are allowed, too. Please pm me any and all requests, I don't see all of the comments. As soon as his eyes met Kaneki's, he realized that he wouldn't have to lead such a lonely life anymore. Hide had finally found someone authentic; someone who cared about him so honestly that the numbness in his heart would concede for a while. It was due to Kaneki's willingness to impress that Hide had the chance to find his place in the world. After becoming best friends, Hide quickly dropped the idea of suicide and committed the act of living instead. As long as they both survived in this cruel world, he didn't mind adding another day to his lifespan. Hide was going to make sure they both made it out of this war they called life okay.

Takemi, an eightteen-year-old single mum to four children; Akane, Ayame, Fudo and Ken, after her soon-to-be husband is killed by a ghoul is no stranger to the strange. Why, you ask? Well, it would be pretty hard to not be if all your children were ghouls and you yourself harboured an even stranger gift...

Camp Anteiku is the only place where Ken Kaneki feels truly alive.
