My aim as an author and an orator is to reach out to people, especially young people, encouraging and motivating them in whatever way I can. I know life as a teenager can be tough. There's a lot of pressure from family, school and society, and there are a lot of changes occurring in the body at the same time. Emotions are all up and down and many teens struggle with self-esteem, self-worth and identity issues. My goal is to help them to have hope and believe in themselves. So, my book took a different turn as I was writing, and I decided to base this book entirely upon my own experiences. Each chapter highlights a different time in my life when I faced something new or difficult, and each chapter tells a bit about what I learnt through each episode. I hope that by sharing these moments- the hard times, the good times, the exciting or scary times, and the lessons that I learnt- some of my readers may be challenged, changed and motivated through the stories.
