"At first you believe, and then you start lying. Swallowing pain likes its shredded up glass. I'm bleeding inside, under a very black sky. Disappointment is cruel, but hope can be crueler. I've felt them both until I thought I could die. Now all my tears are dry, under a very black sky." In August of 1945, Kiku Honda, the personification of Japan, decides to have a vacation from the stress of his and America's rivalry that resulted in quite a few bombings. He arrives in Wakkanai on the fourth, hoping to spend a solid month in his get-away home by the shore. He does not expect, however, to find a Greek there, waiting for him. He was skeptical about having Greece there, but was quickly comforted by his usual enjoyment of the Greek's company. Little did either of these countries know, however, that in a few days, something would happen... Something he'd never forget... BOOM. [A GiriPan story] * * ON HOLD = Updates are slow. Don't expect huge schedule. Just writing whenever I feel like it. * *

The end of World War II did not come quietly. Calculated Devastation dives deep into the controversial and consequential decision to unleash unprecedented firepower on the Japanese homeland-culminating in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Through the lens of military strategy, political maneuvering, and human suffering, this book examines how Allied leaders weighed morality against necessity, science against humanity, and victory against annihilation. Blending historical analysis with firsthand accounts, Calculated Devastation reconstructs the path that led to Japan's surrender-from the firebombing of Tokyo to the mushroom clouds that reshaped warfare forever. It explores the motives behind each bombing raid, the internal debates among American and Japanese officials, and the global reverberations of those fateful choices. This is not just a chronicle of destruction-it's a reckoning with the logic of war, and the fragile line between calculated strategy and irreversible horror.

Nagasaki - The Nature of Christ is one of the most comprehensive studies you will find on the Fruit of the Spirit. It is a profound and reflective work that explores spiritual and moral transformation through the example of Saul of Tarsus, who became the apostle Paul. The book uses Saul's story to illustrate how an encounter with Jesus can radically change a person's life, transforming their character and shaping them according to the principles of love, peace, patience, and humility. Through the metaphor of the torii of Nagasaki, which remained standing after the devastation of the atomic bomb, the author symbolizes the strength and stability that the nature of Christ can provide in the midst of adversity.
