She expected another dreadfully normal day, listening to another proud old man croon about his achievements and his goals. But fate always throws a curve-ball at all of us when we least expect it. She comes across the diary of a teenager, who was fighting for her life in an Operating Room.

A collection of one-shots for Adorableee's Doctor Who contest, "Inside The Box". 24 different contestants compete in a battle of fanfiction. Each round 5 are eliminated and, in the end, only one will walk away with the winner's crown. The story must follow a number of guidelines including: a page limit of 3-8 (no more, no less), completion by the deadline established at each round and inclusion of the theme for each round. Seven judges rate each of the fics and eliminate people each round. Themes By Round: 1). The main theme was Romance. Each contestant was also given an item that they were supposed to incorporate into their story. 2). The main theme was Horror. All contestants also had to include a cliffhanger.

A game of kiss chase is where it had all begun. Peter Helm had chased Shirley Bates in the school playground and planted a sloppy kiss on her lips. She had been smitten, and just knew from that moment on that she would love him forever, even though they were both only eight years old. Nearly three decades later that thin line between love and hate has been tested many times. The last straw for Shirley comes after Pete loses his job and gets tangled up with Tommy, a low-life drug dealer. Another side of Pete is revealed, one that takes control over her relentlessly driving away friends and the one family member she has, her sister Steph. The monster within has taken over her once loving husband and left only the shell for her to contend with. When Pete is arrested and charged with dealing drugs, he is sent down for four months which leaves her at the mercy of his associate Tommy. After a horrifying ordeal with Tommy, Shirley at her lowest point attempts to take her own life, but is saved. Pete is paroled early and her life spirals into a new found darkness. She realises that their love is gone, dead and buried. So to save her own sanity she makes the bravest decision she has ever made, to cut the umbilical cord that has held her and Pete together for nearly three decades, and fly solo. She secretly plans her escape to Scotland and the one person she hopes still cares for her, Steph her sister. The decision comes at a price for Shirley, and the train journey away from her miserable life is set to reveal many things which will make past events clear beyond any reasonable doubt.

I crafted this novelization in poetic form in order to exude the sentimental tragedy concerning the abuse of power dynamics in a rule-breaking relationship. This style encompasses all seven types of literary conflicts, through implication, exclusion, and both verbal and nonverbal communication. Do laws legislate morality, dictate it, guide it, codify it, or abide by the code of ethics that exists within every social contract? After the self-destruction of an unbalanced relationship, the young adult heroine wants to repair her gas-lit mind with academics. She thought that she could trust her teacher. Did he misguide her? What if every trial, every encounter, and every detail of your life was not a matter of chance? I've faced betrayal, a life-altering diagnosis, and even the unexplainable - an affliction by occult forces. These trials shattered me, but they also rebuilt me. They opened my eyes to an essential truth: behind hardship often lies a hidden good, one that only becomes clear with time. I'm not writing this book because my life is exceptional, but because, in its simplicity, it taught me that nothing is left to chance. Through my story, I want to invite you to reflect on yours. Summary: Jiang Cheng saw Lan Xichen was being scammed of money and then he saved him. Jiang Cheng found that Lan Xichen is such a pure man who doesn't even know of the way the world works. Lan Xichen asked Jiang Cheng to teach him a thing or two. Jiang Cheng hesitated, but later agreed. When Lan Xichen saw Jiang Cheng punished a man, he scolded Jiang Cheng for being too harsh. Jiang Cheng was embarrased, and later Lan Xichen was realized what he did was wrong. Is he still naïve after everything that Jiang Cheng taught him? And among the things Jiang Cheng taught him, Jiang Cheng didn't tell him how to apologize. So, how can he apologize to Jiang Cheng? A/N: the cover's not mine. Credits to the artist!

A young child, a little bewildered at best, is about to bumble on to his first plane flight. He doesn't know quite what to expect but holds every faith in his closest animal friend, Percy. Though seemingly light-hearted there is a dark twist to this tale - unfortunately, one that contradicts the happy, but man-made, protective bubble in which our children naively float.

This poem I wrote spontaneously in response to Jane Austen's Mansfield Park. I had been struggling with the concept of how to achieve a happily ever after for a while, and I discovered the answer as I wrote this poem.

Jackie always thought that the world was never forgiving nor a warm place to be. She always felt miserable, and it drove her into a deep sea of depression and no longer wanted to live a life like hers, until she meets Alice. She's a naïve, innocent, and inexperienced little girl, so how was she able to save Jackie in her state and changed the way she saw the world? Join them in their adventures of friendship, life morals, and development in maturity.
