chuuya has problems with emotional regulation, but then he meets dazai and his touch makes his problems "go away". does chuuya have problems with emotional regulation in canon? no, quite the opposite. am i projecting? major yes. many things will seem like mischaracterization, but im just projecting my problems onto characters and shit like that. will adjust desc when I'm done with the fic but I'm too lazy right now. In the aftermath of a brutal battle, Chuuya lies bleeding out, the victim of a shot fired by none other than Dazai. Though the wound wasn't meant to be fatal, circumstances have made survival uncertain. As Chuuya fades, he finally confesses the one thing he never said before-"I never hated you." For the first time, Dazai is left without a clever response. Instead, he's forced to confront emotions he's long buried-regret, desperation, and something dangerously close to love. Refusing to let Chuuya die, he holds onto him, orders medical backup, and pleads for him to stay. As Chuuya hovers between life and death, Dazai is left clinging to the hope that, just this once, fate won't take away the only person who has ever truly been his equal.

Dazai has taken the throne, not by blood, but by power withheld. The court is rattled. The wolves are beginning to hope. But no one - not even Dazai himself - knows if this new kingdom will hold.
