Book 1 of PandavaNandini Trilogy | DharmaAtmaja - The Spark of Truth " No winter lasts forever , no spring skips its turn " . Suthanu, the cherished and only daughter of the Pandavas, is a living testament to a lineage steeped in honor, duty and sacrifice. Born from the union of Samrat Yudhishthira, the embodiment of dharma, and Samragini Draupadi, whose fire reshaped dharma come into light, Suthanu grows within the towering walls of Indraprastha. Her childhood is one of opulent splendor, where dharma and duty are as much a part of the air as the heady fragrance of royal incense. Yet, beyond the luxuries, she holds a spirit forged in the unbreakable steel of her family's values. With every graceful step through the corridors of the palace, Suthanu carries the weight of her ancestors' wisdom, spreading joy among her people, a light of promise in a city built upon the foundations of hard-won peace. But destiny is relentless, and in the span of a heartbeat, everything she holds dear is wrenched away. The warmth of love and laughter is swept into a chasm of emptiness, leaving her to confront the void left by tragedy. How does one endure when the very essence of one's world collapses? Will Suthanu find the strength to rise above the misery, or will the darkness she faces consume the spark of her spirit? It is then that a young prince enters her world, drawn to her by an invisible thread of fate. Yet, as his path crosses hers, he carries his own secrets and struggles, bound to a destiny as uncertain and perilous as hers. Will he be her sanctuary or her undoing? Can their intertwined fates overcome the storm gathering over their world, or will they be consumed by the shadowed forces plotting in the unseen depths? In a realm where dharma clashes with desire and the forces of evil rise, what truths will emerge from the darkness? And what future lies hidden beneath fate's unrelenting veil? 'They complimented each other the way the lightning and its flash do.' Yudhisthira had just returned to royalty after some time in the forests, where he, his brothers and their mother were all hiding from their own relatives,a sad state of affairs. This had created a void in Yudhisthira, one healed by the fire born Princess of Panchala. Draupadi had never thought she would be the wife of the five Pandavas, despite feeling a common thread of ancient story between them and her. Despite having heard a lot about Yudhisthira, she had not completely understood the goodness embedded in him till after their marriage. Married due to the eternity of love and truth that exists between them, Yudhisthira and Draupadi learn each other through conversations and actions. Yudhisthira discovers the complementarity the daughter of Drupada had with him, and Draupadi discovered the beacon of truth that she believed in with him. Their bond had been forming much before the Svayamvara of Draupadi, where her hand was won, and she subsequently became the common wife of the five brothers. Kalyaani and Ajatashatru work together, first at Hastinapura, then at Indraprastha, as Sachi and Indra did, ruling with love and dedication, through ups and downs. This book is their story from right before marriage, and how they wade through the political and personal bombs that kept getting dropped in their joint life, their love a stronghold that gave them the ability to deal with everything thrown their way. How can she reap hope on a land where despair plants seeds of agony and sufferings? Whose destiny is written with the ink of misery, how can she rinse the stains with mirth? How can she put on the cloak of patience when life strips her out of it everytime? But how can faith abandon a body whose hands Krishna holds? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How can misfortune eclipse a heart where Chandra glows? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How can sorrow defeat a soul before which Arjun bows? "|| यत्र धर्मो धृतिः कान्तिः , यत्र हरिः श्री स्तथा मतिः ; यतो धर्म सततः कृष्णो , यतः कृष्णा स्ततो जय: ||" -संजय, भीष्म पर्व (XXIII) 'A bed of roses is only achieved after treading a path of thorns. And sometimes by the time you reach there, it is wilted.' I thus, invite you all to join me in this journey, where I take you to witness Mahabharat from the eyes of Chandraputri. ∆ The woman, whom even pessimism couldn't stand against. ∆ The one, who along with Yagyaseni bathed Kuruvansh in her blood and tears. ∆ The one, who fought the war of Kurukshetra alone in her heart.
