Full disclaimer I originally wanted to tittle this fic after Dua Lipa's "Be the one" and then idk why I didn't and put that other name instead but I feel like it didn't say anything about my fic at all and I just think this new one is better! I basically wrote a Max as the Ronance daugther fic with the stuff I wanted to read, I'm sharing it in case anyone else loves this dynamic and bond! It's a fill-in-the-gap story set between the final battle and the epilogue. Max is recovering both physically and emotionally, Robin and Nancy are stepping into a bit of a guardian role for her. Steve is also here for the funzies! Plus, you can't leave out Robin's platonic with capital P soulmate, right? Lots of comfort, fluff, self-discovery, found family, and a very slow burn endgame Ronance! This is being cross-posted on AO3. Robin knew of Nancy wheeler since middle school, how could she have missed her? Maybe a slight grudge had been solidified since Barb distanced herself to cosy up with little miss perfect wheeler in middle school without looking back. Robin knew that was something she had to work on, her grudges. She would find that a lot harder than she realised when the two started crossing paths a lot more often than either of them would have wanted.

Robin and Nancy used to date. Keyword: used. They were the perfect couple, they loved eachother, but one night, one party, ended it for them. The town of Hawkins is veiled in mystery once more. After Steve suddenly breaks up with Nancy, Robin and Nancy follow a trail of murders leading all the way through town. Focussed on their mission, they don't notice that danger is lurking in every corner.

After the events of season 4 the town of Hawkins is in Chaos. Nancy wheeler has enough on her plate but after her breakup with Jonathan everything falls apart. Until she finds comfort in her developing friendship with the one and only Robin Buckley. All character credits to duffer brothers. Story is mine. No smut. Slow burn. Eddie survived. Max in recovery. Some steddie dumped in perhaps...?

It starts with Robin. She and her bestfriend at the time barb are starting school, they get a new friend and Robin falls inlove with her. That new friend is Nancy and Nancy well she instead of admitting something to Robin she cuts her off. After a year Steve and robin ends up being bestfriends but Steve has a new friend Eddie. Eddie he becomes friends with Nancy on a summer trip and now the boys wants to help Robin out after she has exposed her secret crush on Nancy. If that doesn't make sense to you just read it hope you like it. Alcohol use. Maybe smut? Fluff at least drama/ angst. Happiness also of course but what would a story be without drama?
