While fat bureaucrats sit in their gleaming city, his people starve and die. Bent on leveling the playing field, he lures a group of Capital Knights to his side of town, ready to steal a tool that could burn their entire society to the ground. But when he saves a Capital girl's life instead, the Knight that M'yu stole from will open a door into the glittering world of courtiers. It's a deal too good for a revolutionary like him to refuse. Fresh into her last semester of high school, Len is looking forward to three things: spending time with her recent close-friend-turned-girlfriend, completing a summer road trip with her brother Brendon, and finally, getting the hell out of her hometown, to an out-of-state college where she'll be able to reinvent herself as whoever she would be if her Catholic mom wasn't always breathing down her neck. But then Brendon commits suicide, leaving behind a cell phone with a series of messages meant for Len alone. To unlock the messages, and find whatever Brendon wanted her to find, Len must confront painful memories - and painful truths about herself. *DO NOT READ if you are triggered by suicide or suicidal ideation* (This is a very very very rough draft.)

I will reply with 'fixed' to notify anyone who sees the comment at a later date that it is no longer there. 2. Originally a NanoWriMo project, I pretty much wrote the entire thing in one Sunday afternoon... so, yeah. horrible pacing. 3. I sucked at writing battles.... a few of those happen. 4. Adrian and Gale were originally different characters. If you see the name Gale anywhere, know that's because I was editing at times I shouldn't have been conscious, let alone editing.

#NaNoWriMo 2016 Book One in the Tales from the Filii Aurea Series IN THE BEGINNING, they say, the Aetherei Matrem fell in love with a Celestial Being, and produced a line of children like none other, each with their own special abilities, and each with ichor flowing through their veins. They were her Filii Aurea, her Golden Children, and they were to inherit the earth. A couple centuries down the line, and the Filii Aurea are struggling to stay alive. With the great Aurean war and Aziel Aro committing perpetual genocide, they're desperate to save their race. Avani Sai and Nuri Bachmann need to find the last remaining descendent of the great Milo Aro, and possibly the last cursed Child, and defeat Aziel Aro. That might not be their biggest concern, however. A charming stranger from the Sovereign Capital and a dark force lurking in the streets seem to pose a bigger threat than perpetual genocide.

Can friendship save a life? Genre: Women's Fiction, Novella (abt 43k words now...) A rock-climber wants to rescue others, but must first win the battle to save herself. Can a 35 year old former EMT reveal her passion for poison in time to save herself ... from herself? 1995 Baltimore is trying for a rock-climbing para-medic turned gym teacher. Especially when hiding a death wish. When her aviator husband finds out, Nanyehi must choose between fight and flight. My 2nd practice novel... (Note: there are no sexual, violent, nor vulgar themes or scenes in this story, but Wattpad says it is Mature, I suppose due to the presence of suicidality in some of the book? Imho this is Women's Fiction, as it has a strong female protag. who saves herself and has a hopeful ending. -ShiraDest, 5 November, 12015 HE) (Started on 4 November 12015 for the 2015 November 50k word story #SuperCharged #JustWriteIt challenge. Rough Draft done 29November, Posting 2nd draft chapter by chapter now...) Update: 18 September, 12017 HE: I don't think I ever did give much backstory for any of my MCs. As for clarifying the setting, I sat down to edit for setting, and realized that my problem with this practice novel is that it was written for one particular person, which is why I had so much trouble making the place definite at the start. I also thought about Marie's entrance: I'd meant to convey that expected noises were identified, and thus less likely to set off panic.

"When I awoke, all I could see was the white ceiling. The blinding light seared into my mind and made me squint. But I couldn't see them anymore. The thoughts that floated in my mind were not of my own. My mind was empty, like a blank slate, all things wiped clean. There was nothing there anymore. The whispers were silent, my brain functioning clear. My memories were gone." ⚙️ Pro 1 knows nothing of her past, nothing of herself. All she knows is the name she was given by those men in the white cloaks, and the fact that she has this robotic voice in her head. She also knows that she is more than half-robot now. Pushed into the world of the military, she finds herself fighting for a country she has no recollections of, only with the mindset and one given task: The task to kill.

The best second line for any novel would be "and then the murders began," that's a fact. Picture it- all your favorite books with their first lines. Now take those lines and add "And then the murders began" as the second. I always loved doing that- I don't quite so much anymore. It doesn't make such a great second line for life, not after my life followed that same path- everything was great: hot boyfriend, tons of other friends...Yeah, it was great. Then, of course, somebody had to decide that they wanted to test the range of their brand new AK, right in the middle of an assembly. Yeah, not good. Now I'm stuck down here, hiding in Mrs. McGinnis's room, hoping they don't find me (again), and that I don't bleed out before the cops get here. Yeah, it's not good. If I don't bleed out, I'll probably be scarred for life. If I don't, which right now, I think is rather unlikely, then here's hoping my friends and schoolmates will tell the world about what happened here last March Fifteenth. No, scratch that, I will be scarred for life, both literally and figuratively. I hope the world remembers me.... Sanguinely Yours, Electra J. Stehlen-Wilde. -- What do you get when you cross hidden wounds and unheeded pleas for help in a small town with a high school of animals? Blame pointed at the innocent when the true culprits are still on the loose and preparing to strike again.. - Electra's life was hard enough already, now sixteen mammals are dead, and the blame thrown solely on her innocent self. What's a wolf to do? Prove her innocence, what else- and along the way, stop history from repeating itself.

Written in a stream-of-consciousness style and comprised of some unrelated short-stories to set the tone. Multi-generational story with intersecting characters who have gathered together over the common interest of searching for the lost ending to an unremarkable book. All copies of the author's one novel are missing the same crucial final pages and the small clues that the group has have come at a price. Death and destruction has haunted every one of them and, even though they've turned their lives upside down for a quest that seems unending, they remain committed to their task. They will find the ending to this book and in-so-doing, may solve a decades-old crime and find some peace for themselves as well. Story is ongoing...or is it? An excerpt from Short-story #6: For those that read all the way to the end, the story left them unsatisfied. No. It left them angry. Because they hadn't read to the end. They hadn't found that happy ending on that last page. They hadn't found a sad ending. A tragic ending. They hadn't found any ending at all. What they'd found was a sentence that carried onto a page that had been ripped out. Worse than any cliffhanger ending to a TV series or an unfinished trilogy, the story just ended in an ellipsis disguised as a set of dramatic words. And, what was more, the author had specifically designed the story to conclude on that final page. After pages and pages, some three-hundred and twenty-seven of them with multiple arcs and angles buried in conflated language, the book's reader found the page missing. Not misprinted, not fallen due to decay, but purposely, maliciously, hideously ripped out.
