She's seen the ads, read the articles, heard the stories. Evelyn Hill is convince the game "Escape" is a scam, if even real. She goes about her everyday life as usual, but as the buzz about the new game infiltrates the city, it becomes impossible to ignore. Worse yet, friends and acquaintances start putting themselves inside the game. When Evelyn's new friend and co-worker, Matthew Torres, decides to ditch reality, Evelyn is shaken. Worried for his life and everything he's giving up, she follows him to the stadium to try and convince him to stay. But Matthew's mind is already made up. He enters the game, leaving Evelyn on the outside feeling helpless and abandoned. Days go by and Evelyn can't stop thinking about the game. If only she could get inside, she could figure out what it really is. With days at work dragging on, and a heavy loneliness setting in, she decides to go for it. Entering the game she so hates, she's determined to rescue Matt and make it out alive. The stakes are high, and the death toll is skyrocketing. Once inside, will it be possible for anyone to escape?

Confuzulation is my word that means you aren't sure what you truly feel on some sort of topic. I don't recommend reading this if you want a well written story! It's in dire need of some serious editing! Can you really leave your past behind you? Can you lock it away, in the darkest recesses of your mind? Or will it always be there, hiding in the shadows, waiting to pounce? When Lily moved to London from Wales, she thought that it would be a fresh start. But her problems just seem to follow her wherever she goes. Silently struggling to come to terms with the situation surrounding her parents' death, Lily hopes that finding a job and being independent will help her to get the courage she needs to move on. But things can never stay "just good", her demons from the past will always try to rear their ugly heads, ready to pounce when Lily least expects it. When it all becomes too much, Lily doesn't know if she will lay down and take it or fight to the death. In the lead was Avis’ father, and holding his arm was a slouching elderly woman with snow white hair, braided around her head before dipping down her back. For a moment, she was all Drea could look at. Her face was aged with wrinkles, dark circles prominent around her colorless eyes, and the skin on her face dropped down, creating flap off the side of her head. The skin itself was dry, enough that from where she sat, she could see the crevices and near scaly complexion she held. But was most intriguing was the discoloration on the right side of her face - it almost looked as if a slab of earth slapped and attached itself to her. She also noticed a lump on her shoulder - one she quickly realized to be a petite owl. “... Is that Kate?” she mused aloud, and out of the corner of her eye she saw Avis nod. The other members of the group that came with them were far less interesting to look at. Two men dressed in fur pelts, and a girl, a few years Drea’s junior holding up a crystal clear bowl. Like Kate, she had a small mark of green on her cheek, but it was nowhere near as blended or aged. “Is that who you saved from the Wood?” asked one of the men. “Well she’s not Avis’ new mother now is she?” “Ew.” She heard Avis say under her breath. “And you want Ma’am to waste her magic healing her arm so she could go tell them about us,” said the other, his voice at a hush whisper. Drea could not hear him, but she saw his lips move. “I don’t even think she understands what’s really happening.” said Anthony. “Besides, leaving her to die is what they would do.
