    ((Originally, Phoenix)) “Leave me alone!” Her form flickered in the dim light. The brothers shared a look. “All right,” one started. “Just let us say something first. We know you have powers; we can sense them on you. We can do this because we have powers too. We call it magic. If you want, we can show you.” “Prove it then.” ~^~^~^~^~ There was a monster inside of her – a dark thing that always tried to claw its way out, ripping her insides to shreds as it went. She found no relief from it, maybe because she had no happy memories to find solace in, nor anyone to find comfort in. And yet, Amber could be the catalyst to setting a series of events that had been prophesied centuries before, into motion, bringing together three more people – the embodiments of the Emblems – to bring magic back to life. But in this underlying world of Adepts, Demons and secrets within secrets, unlocking their potential will be harder than you think. ~^~^~^~^~^ So, this is my 2014 Nanowrimo story, which is basically an attempt to rewrite Phoenix, where it shall go through major changes in plot, characters as well as effects of my new-and-improved writing style. I hope you enjoy it, and please give constructive criticism! {Also, the cover is temporary, till I find someone who can help me with it :P}

    [Story for NANOWRIMO 2014] Lu Han is the smart, good looking guy who sits coolly at the back of the room. Except, that isn't how he truly looks like. Instead, many who look, only see his appearance as a beautiful female that many of the males on campus could simply not resist. No one in the entire school campus knew that the person they called "Lily" was a male - he hated himself that he couldn't be himself. Minjung is the clumsy girl who everyone thinks is cold and unfriendly but they befriend her because of her money. Everyone stereotypes her as a loner, but that is because no one has ever tried getting close enough to understand who she was - she hated liars the most. They are the "Ice Queens" of the school, but one was admired while the other was disregarded. And both held a deep secret no one knew. No one is perfect, no one is as they appear, least of all Lu Han or Minjung. A simple incident brings the two together. They say first time meeting is chance, second time coincidence but third time is fate.

    Kindergarten: Where boys have cooties, there's no such thing as a backstabber, and colouring a title page is a big assignment. Not as simple as you may think. When trouble maker Brooklynn Carter is suspended for stealing and crashing her principal's car, her mother decides it's high time she learn a little responsibility. Instead of allowing her to wait out her suspension like any normal parent would, Brooklynn is sent to volunteer in her mother's kindergarten class. Brooklynn hopes to get through her time there with as little effort as possible -- after all, how tough can dealing with a bunch of five year olds every day be? -- but when Brooklynn meets an enthusiastic kindergartener named Daisy, it soon proves to be more of a challenge than she previously expected -- Daisy's mother is sick, very sick. When the unthinkable happens, Daisy begins to close up, and Brooklynn takes it upon herself to hold the class together as it threatens to fall apart while also helping Daisy to open up. It turns out that nothing is half as simple as it seems. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Cover made by the marvelously talented @RosyKun c: New parts published every second Friday... in theory... Even though NaNo is over, I'm going to continue writing this in the spirit of NaNo (as in write, write, write, save editing for later), so there may be some awkward sentences, typos, and general nonsense even in the newer chapters. Bear with me until I finish this draft and can do some for real editing! Basically just think of this draft as a glorified, super detailed outline.

    New original musicals are always a chance for established thespians to add to their fanbase... and for newbies to make a name for themselves. And a handful of newbies might just leave a permanent mark on the world of theatre. Rated PG-13 only because I'm worried about the mild and infrequent swear that should definitely be fine for a thirteen year old, but may not be depending on your own preference. But otherwise kid-friendly.

    A pre-NaNoWriMo novel. Vampires have been done, so this will be modern-day werewolves. It's a seat-of-the-pants experiment, unplotted. I'm envisioning it being YA lit, sort of like the popular YA dystopian novels/films of late but without the dystopia, it's present-day. With a bit of mystery, a bit of violence, teenage drama, coming-of-age angst, a pack of teenagers, a few adults with varying senses of responsibility, longing for superherodom (is that a word?), a smidge of romance, the potential for retribution, and... I'm not sure, since I'm not plotting. You get what you get, and when you get it!

    Leign Simpleton, is exactly part of her last name. Simple. Quiet but talkative. Nice but aggressive. Funny but doesn't have a close friend besides her next door neighbor Luke who often smelled like grape juice and always challenged her to basketball knowing himself that he sucks at it. She did the same routine everyday: prepare for school, go to school, talk to the same people about the same thing at school, then come home to change and either play ball with Luke or avoid him. She altered between the last two options each day. But can she really go back to be being simple after a phone call from a sister that is supposed to be dead? Not likely. Not when their small narrow minded town had called her a slutty attention seeking troublemaker. The girl who always cried wolf her friends called her sister during elementary school. She always ran off, most times with a boy but one day never came back, no one saw it as a big deal until they've found pieces of her clothes 6 months later. The town along with the police assumed based on past behavior that she may have did it to herself for attention or she was good as dead. Leign preferred dead because the shame of her returning would've completely ended the family. But she never did. Until now.

    [ unedited ] Katrina Shaymin has never exactly been It-Girl material, which became even more apparent after her best friend of eight years, Colette Atriana, left her for popularity when they were freshmen. Since then, Katrina has been able to get her life back on its' feet, and finally, she feels can be happy. The summer before senior year, she proposes an idea to transform the perfect It-Girl to get back at Colette, knowing this will be no small feat. However, her whole plan is rocked off it's feet as new problems begin arise. Can she handle crumbling friendships, mysterious letters from a hidden enemy, her missing parents, a boy she's befriended online, retaining her spot as valedictorian and find a way to get her the plan back on track? Maybe to solve all this, Katrina just needs to get unplugged. © stelliferousky 2016

    "She fumbled at the door latch with shaky hands, finally getting it open, when all of a sudden something large and heavy fell towards her. She felt rubbery, cool limbs encase her in a clammy embrace as the head of the unmoving body thumped against the wall behind her. She screamed." --------------------- What do you get when you place a retired PI, a flight marshal, a couple of tourists, an addict, and a doctor on a plane headed from Dallas to Hong Kong? Why, you get a murder of course.
