Kindergarten: Where boys have cooties, there's no such thing as a backstabber, and colouring a title page is a big assignment. Not as simple as you may think. When trouble maker Brooklynn Carter is suspended for stealing and crashing her principal's car, her mother decides it's high time she learn a little responsibility. Instead of allowing her to wait out her suspension like any normal parent would, Brooklynn is sent to volunteer in her mother's kindergarten class. Brooklynn hopes to get through her time there with as little effort as possible -- after all, how tough can dealing with a bunch of five year olds every day be? -- but when Brooklynn meets an enthusiastic kindergartener named Daisy, it soon proves to be more of a challenge than she previously expected -- Daisy's mother is sick, very sick. When the unthinkable happens, Daisy begins to close up, and Brooklynn takes it upon herself to hold the class together as it threatens to fall apart while also helping Daisy to open up. Even though NaNo is over, I'm going to continue writing this in the spirit of NaNo (as in write, write, write, save editing for later), so there may be some awkward sentences, typos, and general nonsense even in the newer chapters. Bear with me until I finish this draft and can do some for real editing! Basically just think of this draft as a glorified, super detailed outline.

When a fifteen year old teenager by the name of John Adams tries to commit suicide, he starts discovering that he is no ordinary person. He is part of the secret society called "Outsiders", people with supernatural powers. But as the Outsiders start being noticed by the world, the Government decides that it is time to get rid of all those Outsiders that pose threat to everyone. As he discovers his powers, the war with the Government rages. As a corporation of the Government rises against the Outsiders, the Corporeal Hybrids, the Government's corporation, chases the Outsiders. The war between Outsiders and Corporeal Hybrids starts. In the future, humans have inhabited a newly found planet millions of lightyears away from Earth after most of life on Earth gets wiped out by a plague that lives in berries and certain livestock, but also from radiation poisoning from nuclear weapons.   As punishment for terrible crimes on the new planet, delinquents are punished by being sent down to Earth to either die or fend for their lives.  Poor technology proves that the two planets cannot stay in contact when they're practically in different galaxies.  It's assumed by the council that all the delinquents have died. Declan, found guilty of treason by his peers and the council, sent down to fend for himself and forty-nine others along side him, comes across a camp.  A camp built for what seems two hundred people.   Old delinquents.

For almost sixteen years, Kayla could say that she lived somewhat of a normal life. She had a younger brother named Spencer, and they lived in the middle of nowhere with their Aunt Elizabeth. That is, they used to. None of them saw it coming. One minute they were peacefully going about their night and the next there is a knock at the door; not a moment Aunt Elizabeth is dead. From there Kayla and Spencer lives are thrown into a whirlwind of events. Kayla’s future is finally making its appearance known and past memories will hold the key to help her discover who and what her destiny is. But nothing about the situation is normal. Kayla and her brother aren’t human. In fact, they weren’t even born on earth. What are they? They are Nephilim. They come from a dimension that was created solely to protect Earth and all the light dimensions. From what? Ravagers; dark, hellish creatures that resemble humans and demons; lots and lots of demons. The demons led by the Ravagers come from the hundreds of dark dimensions that exist and all of them share the same mission; to turn light into dark and to take over all the grey in between. To do that though they must get to The Gates of Lys, but only one Nephilim a century has the power to open those gates. And that Nephilim has no idea what fate has in store for her.

Her parents thought it was cute at first. Krystal was two when it first started. She was being tucked into bed one stormy night, when she said,"Where will my sister sleep?""What's your sister's name?" Her mother asked loudly so she could be heard above the pitter patter of rain drops on the roof."My sister's name is Rain.""Alright. Rain can sleep right next to you." Krystal's mother kissed her on the forehead. "Goodnight honey." She said"You didn't say goodnight to Rain." Krystal whined."Goodnight Rain." Krystal kept talking about Rain. Her parents didn't think anything of it for a few years, assuming it was just a phase. But by the time Krystal was thirteen they began to worry. Krystal still believed she had a sister named Rain.

[ unedited ] Katrina Shaymin has never exactly been It-Girl material, which became even more apparent after her best friend of eight years, Colette Atriana, left her for popularity when they were freshmen. I couldn't answer him, and I could tell that he knew what he was doing. Emmett already had me so far under, making me believe that I had control over what has occurred these past few months. He had his hold on me, and he was only letting us sink into deeper waters. "I think you know how I feel, Grace." He told me, forcing his eyes on mine, making it impossible for me to respond. "I love you." His light, clear blue eyes were all I could see, reminding me of the lake, the sky, and of him, all at the same time. And as I looked into those blue irises, and whispered back my response as he brought his mouth closer to mine, I found that for the first time, I was alright with drowning, as long as it was Emmett pulling me under.
