This was the story I wrote for NaNoWriMo 2016. i never finished the month or the story but I found it and decided to upload it. Summary Tiffany doesn't speak. She wants to live on her own so she needs to find a job. But finding a job where you don't have to speak and where people accept you don't speak is hard. This is until she finds a strange looking job-application. "Four guys looking for a quiet maid. Tasks include: cleaning, cooking doing the laundry and groceries shopping. Living will be included and expenses will be paid by us." Her mum makes the call for her and only three days later she finds herself at their doorstep. They don't know she's a mute and she doesn't know how they will react. What happens when she falls in love with one of them.

Most stories start at the beginning. There's an understandable logic to that. This story, however, begins at the end. The Prince is dead, or sleeping. The armor is magic, or haunted. The castle is abandoned, or cursed. The faeries are sleeping, or mourning. Time stands still, but only there.

If there's anything worse than death, it's losing one's self. 19 years after the Second Wizarding War, we only managed to hear snippets of Draco Malfoy and his wife, Astoria (nee Greengrass). Eventually, then, the untimely death of the witch. We only knew of a Greengrass family curse that managed to kill her -- but such an ancestral curse goes as far as its involvement with the Malfoys. Let us take you back several years, when the world was so cruel and dark that a single ray of light would die in an instant. "What's your name" she asked the boy, walking closer to him. "Name?" his questioned, wondering what she meant. "What are you called? What did your family call you before... you know?" He looked up at the sky, avoiding the piercing gaze of her eyes, "I don't have a name," his words came out slowly, as if he was testing the waters. She smiled sweetly, "Why don't I call you One. Because you've always been alone." He shrugged and turned away, stepping down from the platform and grabbing his backpack, she stood and watched him, un-moving. "Are you coming?" he called out behind him, and she leapt from the platform, following him into the desolate city.
