When she's forced to leave behind her best friend Siro and the life she knows in the skyrise community, she embarks on a journey in which she must work with an unlikely ally. Befriending an aloof hunter named Ryan from the outside world, with a life so different from her own, he becomes her only companion when she has no one else. When his dangerous family connections come to light, she is torn between depending on him to stay alive in the wilderness and being targeted a rebel or deserting him to save them both. As a deadly disease begins to spread, it creeps closer to her family and friends inside the skyrise community. Lark must use her empath abilities to find the antidote quickly- and find out who she truly is, in the process.

This is a sequel for Dance of the Angels and I'm writing this for NaNoWriMo 2019!

Her faith was crippled and she blamed God and herself for being victimized but one day, with the guidance of her friends and a life-changing event, she learned to give thanks for and to use her scars and powers for the greater good. This is the origin story of the superhero known as Gryphon Wing.

My NaNoWriMo 2019 project, an odd skypunk tale and something a little different from anything I've ever come across, like any good worldbuilding tale should be.
