**Persona 4 Revival × My Dress-Up Darling** is an alternate-universe retelling of *Persona 4* that asks a simple question: **What if Wakana Gojo and Marin Kitagawa were the protagonists of the Inaba story?** After leaving Tokyo and moving to the quiet countryside town of Inaba for a year, Wakana and Marin expect their lives to slow down. Character arcs are expanded, relationships develop in new directions, original storylines are introduced, and the later portions of the plot diverge much more heavily from both *Persona 4* and *Persona 4 Golden*. The story places a larger emphasis on the Investigation Team as an ensemble, allowing different characters to take center stage depending on the arc. One of the biggest changes is the absence of Teddie. In his place is **Murray**, a mysterious resident of the TV World who has no understanding of where he came from or why he exists there. Unlike Teddie, Murray is written specifically around the mythology and themes of Revival, becoming both an important ally to the Investigation Team and one of the story's central mysteries.

Set one year after the end of Persona 4, Naoto is asked to investigate the mysterious disappearances of two Yagakoro students by an old detective friend, Touko Aoi. There, she is partnered with Sousei Kurogami, a mechanical detective and a polar opposite to her in terms of personality and methodology. In their first encounter, she awakens to a new persona Amatsu Mikaboshi, which enables her to amplify Sousei's persona ability, Tsukuyomi. Together with Sousei, she discovers the Midnight Site, an anonymous site where judgement is passed on others by five judges named after figures in Japanese mythology- Uzume, Sarutahiko, Omoikane, Tajikarao, and Futotama.
