A heartstopper fanfic after Nick left for university As Nick and Charlie navigate university, anxiety, missed calls, changing dreams, and the fear of becoming strangers, they're forced to confront the question they've both been avoiding: Can love survive when two people are growing in different directions? A story about first love, growing up, and the space between who you were and who you're becoming.

Charlie's cat escapes out his apartment window along the fire escape into his neighbour Nick's living room. Nick arrives home to see Charlie there with his cat.

This is a three-way merge between my favorite fandoms: the podcast Six Minutes (credit to GZM Shows), the graphic novel series/webtoon, which was adapted into a Netflix series and a movie, Heartstopper (credit to Alice Oseman), and the series Story Thieves (credit to James Riley). In the world of Six Minutes, Casey and Penn accidentally open a portal at Holiday's 17th birthday party. They close it, but not before Cyrus, Brynleigh, and Cybot are sucked in. Meanwhile, Nick and Charlie are hanging out at a film night at Tao's, but after spotting a mysterious red-haired girl out the window, they suddenly disappear. Team Cyleigh and Cybot land in a barn in rural Kentucky. Moments later, Nick and Charlie appear there as well. They are forced to work together to learn what's going on-and to find a way home. This story is a product of three somewhat niche fandoms, and probably will not be as enjoyable to those outside of all three, but all key story elements are explained, so it will not be impossible to understand as an outsider.

So I have read the whole comic online, but I felt like I wouldn't get the proper experience until I read the books. So I bought the first one, and saw something at the end. There is a mixtape on it which says "to Nick, from Charlie :)" I got inspired and made a playlist out of the songs. That then inspired me to write this fic. Each chapter is based on one of the songs on the list.

With challenging school, social and love life, Charlie tries to fight depression and walk into adulthood as well as keep his feelings for Nick in check. Speaking of, Nick tries to figure out the way compass of his life points to. Figuring out what he wants is much more complicated than he thought. All the characters and storyline are creation of Alice Oseman. The fanfic is mine though ;) So feel free to come along with me as we discover answers to human nature, relationships, sexuality and importance of friendship with Charlie, Nick and their friends.
