Random bits of poetry from various stages of my life. Some are from my high school days. Others are narrative poetry that tell a story. All of them are pieces of my life that followed me through to where I am today.

I wrote this for the days when losing a parent still hurts in ways I don't know how to explain. This book is me talking about what it's like to grow up with an absence, to carry grief quietly, and to learn how to live when someone important is no longer there. These poems are not meant to sound perfect. They are written like conversations I'm sitting with you, telling you what I've learned about loss, about becoming strong too early, and about the moments when I just want to stop being brave. Sometimes I Grow Up, Sometimes I Refused Not To is for anyone who had to figure things out alone, who misses someone deeply, and who is still trying to heal without rushing themselves.
