Stefani (Lady Gaga) has been trying to escape her past of abuse from others, including from her alcoholic parents. When her parents suddenly die in a car crash, Stefani, now Violetta moves to Woodsboro, California to live with her sister, Natali. Meanwhile, a copycat killer murders two teenagers who closely knew Violetta. Violetta becomes suspicious if this killer is trying to aiming at her. Now, she has to protect her and what's left of her family from this suspicious killer. What's most important to Stefani is her troubled past that the killer holds. Can Violetta keep a clean slate from the people in Woodsboro? Violetta meets Joey, who also deals with a troubled past, and both get along.
