Stevie is a first year university student at McGill University, in Montreal, Canada. Having had a troubled past, Stevie is relieved to finally be in university. But, she is having difficulty finding her place. Unsure of what to do in this new and unfamiliar place, Stevie buries herself in her studies, that is what she is good at. She is constantly receiving pressure from her grandmother to get married. To Stevie's grandmother, who was Stevie's sole caretaker growing up, university is the time to snag a husband. Stevie seems to have reluctantly accept her grandmother's path for her, until she meets Allison, a mysterious music major who has Stevie questioning everything...
