My reasons as to why figure skating is a really tough sport based on my life as a skater

What if... The skaters could live the lives that they never got to fully experience? In a parallel universe, none of the skaters know how to skate. No trainings to attend, competitions to take part in, nothing. Instead, they lead ordinary high school lives, complete with homework to do, friends to make, crushes to crush (not really). There is a catch, however. All these skaters all go to the same university prep school. Bonding over misunderstanding each other through the language barrier. How wonderful This is what happens when you take a handful of your favorite figure skaters, two overly obsessed skating fans (Who fail at writing but nevertheless, still write stories.) and dump two (heaped) tablespoons of exaggeration stir it together and BAM! (maybe make that 4) There you have it, Skaters 101. (but without the skating) This is a purely fictional crack fiction. Any references to real life people or incidents are all by coincidence.

As a child, you had always dream to be a figure skater. To be the first from your country to land a 3A and go to the Olympics. But as time passes, you realised that it was impossible and decided to quit. Years passed and suddenly, figure skating became so popular during the 2018 Winter Olympics. Not only that, you were captivated by Japan's rockstar, Yuzuru Hanyu. His performance made you want to skate again but you realised it was impossible since you're now a uni student. But what if out of all the chances, you were able to meet Yuzuru Hanyu. Will your meeting be a turning point in your life or will it be your downfall??

There it was. Nathan Chen. America's supposed golden boy at the Winter Olympics earlier that year that unfortunately came up much too short when it counted the most. Her brothers said she'd meet some interesting people at college, some she never would've expected, and it appears they were right. She did not expect someone like him to be the first fellow Yale student she'd face on her first day of college. The story goes into the anxiety athletes face when performing, to sometimes the facade they put on for their audience. And how a single person can sometimes make them feel at ease. Even Single player sports sometimes require a whole team.

(Yes this is a 4-5 year age gap) This is set in 2020-2021 (pretend covid19 doesnt exist) "It hasn't been long since the car accident that ruined my knee. I still had some hope left, but lets be honest here... there's no chance for the olympics anymore." 15 year old Olivia Jones was said to be the closest shot at gold at the 2022 Olympics. The critics said she had the best shot out of everyone running for the spot on the team to get a chance on the women's figure skating podium. But after a tragic accident that left her bedridden for weeks, those dreams and hopes vanished. Even though there were still 2 years till the olympics, everyone thought there was no hope. She had to relearn all she ever thought she knew about figure skating. When she flies to California to train for her comeback, she runs into the world renowned Nathan Chen. Their bond slowly grows into something bigger, something that changes her views on her situation.
