A GhostBird/Sword Art-Online Crossover Fanfiction. (TENTATIVE PLOT SUMMARY, If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them): When Sang Sorenson is invited over to a friends house to be apart of the VR MMORG, Sword Art Online's premier debut, Sang jumps at the chance and makes a bold decision to sneak out of the house. Little does she know, it's a decision that will change her life forever. The Blackbourne team has been tasked with watching over the release of the newest VR experience, from inside the game. While some are excited at the idea, other's are wary. The game, while popular in the Beta testing, has had some mysterious disappearances of players during it's early release in Japan. Just as it seems like everything is going perfectly, an announcement is made that rocks the worlds of the 500 players online. Follow me as I borrow the story of Sword Art Online, and the cast of the Ghost Bird Series.

"No more mutants." Those are the words that decimated the mutant population across the globe. Spoken by a crazed Scarlet Witch, 90% of the mutant population was stripped of their powers, only 198 mutants retained their powers, and the next step in human evolution seemingly died... until now. Enter Sang Summers, physically and mentally abused, underdeveloped, petrified teenager... and the long lost daughter of two of the most powerful mutants known: Scott Summers and Jean Grey, current leader of Utopia and dead host of the Phoenix Force. Sang is the first mutant to develop powers in four years, the Messiah the remaining mutant race had long awaited to save them from the brink of extinction. And their hypothesis seems to be proven true, as nine lights appear on Cerebra, nine new mutants that Sang will have to save from themselves... nine new mutants that can hopefully save Sang Summers. This is Generation Grey. These are the New Elites. And they have a Messiah Complex.

Except it totally isn't. Now, five years later, he's a rising star in the NHL, she's a skating instructor at their community rink, and they haven't spoken in ages. But a devastating injury brings Nathan back home to Charleston in time for the holidays and, consequentially, back into Sang's orbit. (Or; Sang and Nathan were high school sweethearts, but everything fell apart. Sang isn't a fifteen-year-old cowering at the hands of her stepmother. She's on her own. Eighteen and living in a house her father bribed her with alongside two faithful dogs, she's been paving her own way since the payout a year ago. When Marie died in a car accident, her mother was hospitalized and her father remarried. Sang was left with a house on Sunnyvale Court, another two years in high school, and no friends to speak of. She's made it just fine on her own and she's not apologizing for existing anymore. Meeting nine new guys right before her senior year at Ashley Waters is an odd coincidence that shakes her foundation and causes her to reevaluate what matters to her. After all, she didn't need friends then, she doesn't need friends now. Right?

This is a C.L Stone's The Ghostbird Series fanfiction. Most of the characters here are hers. The first time I noticed Elizabeth inside me, I was twelve and at the edge of breaking down. Elizabeth was stronger, reckless and wild. She said no when I wanted to say yes, she turned away when I wanted to stay. That is Elizabeth. Mysterious and unknown, even when I've lived with her all these years. Full of secrets and half truths. Even when she's not alive.

Sang Sorenson is a sheltered rich girl whose life is a lot more rough than most believe. Her entire life has consisted of abuse from her step-mother, and overbearing older brothers who would do anything to shelter her from the world. But when she transfers to public school and meets a group of nine guys who have her living on the wild side, she's finally found a place she can escape. The group of boys make her feel things she's never felt before, and she's willing to put it all on the line for them, and they're willing to do the exact same for her. Except, they just might have to in order to get through the war that is about to be started. Disclaimer: Most of these characters belong to C.L., except for a few cuties who happen to be Sang's brothers in this.
