Set during the integration era, this story follows Alexandria Bass as she tries to figure out who she really is in a world that keeps trying to define her before she even gets the chance to define herself. She's caught between expectations at school, the tension on the football field, and the pressure of simply existing while everything around her is changing. At home in the Bass house, she finds a rare kind of comfort where people from different worlds gather and somehow feel safe enough to just be themselves. The Titans' journey mirrors her own, as trust slowly builds between people who were taught to stay apart. Through it all, Alex learns that strength isn't always loud or visible, but often quiet and steady, showing up even when things feel heavy. Friendship and loyalty become small but powerful ways of pushing back against prejudice in everyday life. Love and family anchor her, especially in moments of grief, confusion, and growth. As the story unfolds, she realizes that belonging isn't something you're given-it's something you help build. And in the end, she understands that real change comes from choosing to see people fully, even when it's difficult.

Ariel lives fast and free beneath the desert sky. Twenty-one, she's more at home on her bike than in anyone's idea of a plan. There's a quiet to her wildness, a kind of unbothered charm that leaves people leaning in, trying to figure her out. Home is a blur of quiet dinners, a little sister who watches everything, and a father who means well but stays at arm's length. Life moves, and she keeps pace-until two very different men enter her orbit. One was raised by the land itself, rooted in stories that don't get told out loud. The other brings West Coast calm and a history he's not offering. Both notice her before she says a word. Love doesn't arrive clean. It tangles and burns slow in the background of a world full of noise and silences. Godspeed is a story of modern romance, blurred lines, and the magnetic pull between youth and the lives we try to build around each other.

Jane Mannering can shoot a rifle and handle a knife as well as any Englishman. However, she is no match for the red-painted warriors who ambush her section of a Colonial caravan the moment she and her comrades reach the shores of Virginia. Jane plots their escape during a forced march inland, leaving a trail of maltese crosses carved on the trees - their pre-agreed upon signal of distress. All the while, she fumes over what interest their captors could possibly have in a twenty-three-year-old spinster and a rugged band of brick masons, sawyers, and farmers. When the ruthless Chief Wanchese intercepts them at the crossroads of the Great Trading Path, Jane is shaken to discover their greatest enemy plans to keep her for himself. It's a pity he's the only man on two continents who's ever stirred her heart. Alas, she has an entire colony to save, and capturing his attentions is not part of their escape plan. COMPLETED STORY The agony is like nothing I have ever felt before, I slide in and out of consciousness, I feel the strange sway of the two legged's walk as I am being carried through the woods, I wish to call out to my mate but I am weakened by the torments cast upon me. I have been laid down in the cold snow and my tormenter is digging in the frozen earth, I once again lose consciousness. The next time my eyes flutter open I have cold snow mixed with frozen dirt being thrown on my throbbing frame. I'm not sure what is going on. I'm freezing, hurt, and confused. I rouse to strange smells that are new to me, I'm colder than ever and something is definitely missing. I attempt to stand but immediately fall onto a fur covered ground, wait, fur... Where is my fur?!? Where did my tail go? Why do my paws look bare and have moving sticks coming out of them? Who stretched my legs out? What in tarnation happened to my fur? I guess that would explain why I'm cold. I begin to take in my surroundings, I am in a dead tree shelter but it looks completely different, there is a fire crackling near me but it does little to warm my bare skin, I'm startled by the sound of laughter, I look over and see a two legged is staring at me with a hint of humor in his eye. "You are very confused. I found you almost dead in a non descent grave. You were shot and bruised. I brought you here and made some... changes. It was the only way I could save you." The stranger explains. I don't really understand what he is saying, all I know is I want my fur back.
