An expedition to the American West sounded like the experience of a lifetime. An opportunity that young researcher Skylar Taggart, had been looking forward to for years. Exploring the Northern Great Plains stretched East of the Rocky Mountains in 1804, she aimed to find a unique healing plant which could revolutionise medical knowledge. The only rule? Do not step into Native territory. Those lands were inhabited by the Lakota tribe, which vehemently protected their camps from outsiders, and never hesitated to make an example of whoever trespassed. The most violent of falls had Sky ending up in that prohibited territory, now surrounded by constant danger and too far from the safety of her group. Anyone who lived to tell stories would define her "as good as dead", and that's exactly what she thought when she met eyes with the Bear, pointing an arrow precisely her way. ~~~ (Dual POV. This is a romance story clashing two opposite worlds from the perspective of Rich and Poor, Good and Bad.) DISCLAIMER 1): Any information on the Native is entirely searched up, so if there are cultural or traditional mistakes, it's not to offend anyone. I'm new to this kind of story, so please be understanding of the possible mistakes. GLOSSARY INCLUDED: At the very end there is a Glossary dedicated page with the translation of all Lakota words and sentences used within the story. DISCLAIMER 2): The Lakota Language used has also been searched and referenced from Google. NOT WIKIPEDIA, so don't come for my head. All corrections are welcome.

"You taste so good, little girl," he whispered against my lips Gripping my thighs tight & pulling them up to meet his manhood. Then he slid inside me-slow, deep, claiming. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, our bodies close, moving together like it was the only thing that mattered in the world. And maybe, in that moment, it was."

I have three secrets. 1. I'm in the witness protection program. I witnessed my mother's murder when I was eight years old, and now the murderer is after me. 2. I can read minds. Or not "read" them... not exactly. But I can feel them. Every emotion has a color. An aura, as I call it. And I can feel those auras. I can feel the color of one's thoughts. 3. I can't feel Elijah Whitney's aura. [ COMPLETED - 1.28.16 ] [ LATEST REVISION - 8.17.19 ] [ SEQUEL COMING FALL 2019 ]

This work is written by Kindeley. The text is about the devistating impacts the European colonization had on the Native Americans ,and some of the long-term effect to this day. These effects were caused by a number of factors including loss of land, diseases, attempts to force Indians to give up their religion and beliefs, and laws, which violated Native American culture. The cover of this work is not mine. It is from Pendleton Woolen Mills UK, but the work itself is mine. It is for educational purpose only and if you wish to share feel free to do so, however it will be reported if copied. I hope you learn a lot, in hope it will give you different perspective. The Native Americans are underappreciated, which deeply breaks my heart.

[ SEQUEL TO CHAMELEON ] Run. Hide. Stay low. Blend in. Shed your skin and step into someone else's. These are the values I've been taught. But how does one unlearn things that have been so vital to their survival in the past? I'm at least learning to try. For their sake, if not for mine. My name is Aspen Brooks Quinn, and I can read minds. But I'm not the only one who can do something unnatural. There are others, others like me. But my secrets are nothing compared to theirs. And theirs? Theirs could change what it means to be human. [ON HOLD UNTIL 2021 BECAUSE LIFE]
