Search parties never found her and The Magic Council found out something, but could not tell because it would hurt several people. So they told everyone she was dead. Fairy Tail did not want to give up. Makorav had payed for people to search for anything related to her disappearance. Fairy Tail members searched for over a year with no luck. The master called off all of the searching and finally faced his children. He told them that she was gone and it was no use. Lina's memories are gone due to an accident, but her heart brought her home. Not to mention she starts getting closer to the Fire Dragon Slayer.
