Aurora thought there was something wrong with her. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, where cows outnumbered people 10-to-one, she'd always been taught that love could only exist between a man and a woman. But after a lifetime of pretending to fawn over her high school's quarterback, everything changed when she met Heather, a German exchange student, in her first week of college. Heather is beautiful and witty and has a single unruly curl at the nape of her neck and Aurora is absolutely, undeniably, smitten. As romance blossoms between the two, Aurora is forced to reckon with everything she once thought she knew: Her sexuality, her future career, and just how far she's willing to go for love.

[Y/n] could be easily described as curious to most. With the constant need to learn everything and anything the world had to offer her. Almost always did she come back with a new bump, bruise, or scratch. If not just a scratch then whatever caused the scratch. She was odd to most. Talking to the woods around her. Whispering to the animals that roamed far too close to the city. And just barely speaking the words of humanity to the world.
