Hierd Die Grace, or at least the name he uses now, wakes up in another world with his memories blurry and incomplete, only pieces of his old life left behind. What he does have is something strange: he can bring anything from the 1900s to the 1950s into this world, like guns, warships, planes, and military equipment. He starts small with a village, then a city, and then something that keeps growing far beyond what it was meant to be, and after that, he just keeps going. [ ! slow burn, detail-oriented novel ! ] Monsters of the winter, wars with countries, with the ever expanding presence of his empire, Hierd battles with humans, monsters, countries, entire continents with armies, navies and magical prowess. A rift in a medieval world; how will Hierd expand his empire? How will he use his power? And more importantly, what of his future? --- "You are what I think you are, I am what you think I am." - Hierd Die Grace --- Hallo Royalroadie guy, proof thingy this

This is a book that will explain why I assign genders to ships. If you look at my comments on YouTube video on ships, you may have noticed that I use gender-specific terms for ships. I also mentioned that in my 'Titanic meets Thomas Lynskey' story I call Titanic a he. Link is provided here: https://my.w.tt/1fLpuAHLd8 Keep in mind that I am not a conspiracy theorist, as I don't expect you to take me too seriously. Assigning genders to ships is something that I have a habit of doing. Though that makes reading ship related information difficult, as many articles refer to many ships as female.

[WATTYS 2018 Longlist] For fans of The Atlantis Gene, The Hunger Games, and Red Rising, this high-suspense, action-filled, sci-fi novel continues the story of a teenager from the outback who finds himself fighting for his survival. In a race against time, now he learns it's not only his life but the existence of planet Earth that's at stake. Storm has discovered a shocking secret hidden in plain sight. One the world can never be told about! The tiny sister star to the Sun is their ultimate weapon... so long as it remains a secret. Storm Elliot and corporal Sean Cameron are on a mission to warn Sydney of an unthinkable natural disaster that's about to strike. To survive the earthquakes, tsunamis, and the sun flares the people must travel inland. But, the two men find the city a fortress under the control of brutal government forces. Meanwhile, a nuclear submarine crosses the Pacific with a very special cargo. A bizarre experiment is about to target the rising unrest that is a result of the global economic collapse. Storm and his companions have their work cut out for them... Ancient forces far stronger than any government are playing a multilayered and deadly game. As the Dark Star wreaks havoc on the solar system, the hidden players position themselves to call checkmate on planet Earth... To survive and save those he cares about, Storm must understand the players and the game, but he has very little time left. While this full-length novel is Book II of The Erelong Trilogy, it can also be enjoyed as a standalone. _________ Amazon Reviewers Say: This book has some serious suspense... Great apocalyptic read!! Very descriptive text and suspenseful. So many elements of truth that it is terrifying to think of the possibility. The characters are very endearing. I liked them from the get go and they really got me invested in the story. _________ May Day is Book 2 in The Erelong Trilogy, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Not since the Battle of Surigao Strait have two battleships exchanged salvoes in late 1944 However, concerning developments in Europe threaten to upset the careful nuclear balancing act in place. Through political back room deals, battles across land air and see, and witness a new threat emerging from the Arctic Circle through the perspective of those at the forefront of the action. Inspiration loosely comes from "The Cruel Seas" and "Red Storm Rising". Authors Notes: Heavily WIP and subject to change, any feedback and advice is appreciated. Please note this doesn't take place in our own timeline and will flesh it out in later chapters. I'll release new material as I feel comfortable, there is no set schedule.

The two naval legends of the Pacific, one representing the Land of the Rising Sun, and another representing the Land of Freedom and Justice, found themselves transported into a world much like their own with its own twists, where the world is embroiled in a two-sided war; one against the mysterious but dangerous entities, the Sirens, and another one being their own kind, Humanity. Stuck in this world with no way back to their world for now, the men of the two battleships must set their differences aside to bridge the rifts in the Azur Lane Alliance. However, this world seems to be full of surprises, ready to catch the men and sailors off-guard at any time. And they will be in for a shock after strange going-ons on their respective ships. Our story will start out similar like the previous Fanfic and other Azur Lane Fanfiction. However, after the Defense of Pearl Harbour, the storyline will diverge greatly and will not follow neither the Game Lore or the Anime Lore. Join us in this journey as we watch brave sailors and Kansens fighting not just for maritime freedom, but also, what was impossible back in our world. Global Unity. "No matter the era, no matter the technological advancements, the rules of war will never change." "War. War never change" "Peace is just preparation for the next war."

The story begins in the summer of 1942 set at a naval base in Norfolk, Virginia. As the United States enters the war after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941, a young naval recruit from a small, rural town in Georgia is fired up about going to serve his country. Europe lay under German domination after a successful advance in the summer of 1942. With the defeat at the battle of Stalingrad in late 1942, the story takes us through the series of events from the summer of 1942- 45 as told to his "Mamma" back home in Georgia . These letters depict the special relationship he shares with his mother, his naivety and the experiences he shares in becoming indoctrinated with war life. Lawson has never been outside of Georgia and he shares his wonder and amazement as he is sent to a series of naval training bases throughout the U.S. and is exposed to men and women quite different from himself, along with sights and experiences he never could have imagined from his sheltered upbringing. The letters take us through his emotions in dealing with the reality of the war, his own tragedy at home and his brush with death not once but twice as an aerial gunner in the south Pacific.

For years, the Steel Maiden has dominated the seas of the West Indies. Its crew, led by the notorious Captain Ryker, are the envy of every ship that has ever sailed; uncompromising, fearless and uniquely skilled in the arts of piracy. Under the strict aegis of their captain, these pirates have stole and plundered their way across the length of the Caribbean basin. The avenging ships of the Royal British Navy, feared custodians sent to jealously guard their holdings in the American colonies, have been sunk on numerous occasions by exceptional feats of bravery and precise volleys of cannon fire. But the era of unrivalled control enjoyed by the Maiden may be coming to an end. A new power has emerged in the West Indies, a black ship that sails with impunity and leaves only death in its wake. Rumour and intrigue surround this ship; tavern girls speak of a captain able to hypnotise men with his mere gaze, old fishermen whisper of a dead crew; a collection of shades unable to find peace in this life or the next. Undeterred by these tales, Captain Ryker sets out to find this ship and re-establish his dominance over the waves. In the midst of the fires of revolution, heroes will clash and legends will be forged in the first instalment of the Sea Wolf Chronicles; an epic tale of conflict, deceit and piracy, all topped off by a healthy dose of rum and brine.
