Lyla doesn't know what her big next step in life will be, that is until she meets a young girl. After a wild call Lyla returns back to the station with her partner, when Lyla finds a little girl hiding in the coed bathroom, Lyla begins to suspect that something must have happened to the girl. Her suspects turn out to be true when she finds out the little girl had ran away from home due to her abusive upbringing. With no where to go or no one to take care of her Lyla volunteers to take her home for the night. The truth of what happened to the girl comes to the light, and Lyla finally knows her next step. Becoming the little girl's legal guardian/mother!
