A late night phone call and the unfolding story that follows only confirms the thoughts that loyal NCIS New Orleans and Percy and LaSalle followers always suspected.

Sonja Percy a 27 year old ex NCIS Agent is in deep trouble and cover after the flight that disappeared five and a half years mysteriously reappears causing international and federal trouble. Being the Best of the best at undercovers comes with its burden. Now she has to prove to her captive that these passengers are not a threat when they threaten otherwise she and her dogs are on the run. She just wants to go home to her family in NOLA especially now that her boyfriend is returning home, but that won't happen anytime soon Michelle Mackey and DeShawn Jackson hate their lives after they were booted out of Sydney and team they had grown to love after breaking multiple rules. Now agents afloats once again the two agents find themselves being the laughing and mocking stock of the ship because of their differences but after meeting a twenty year old kid they realize they are called for much more than they ever want to admit. This story tells a side of the story we didn't see between a spy on the inside and protectors of the passengers in different countries. Twenty years later the paths of Sonja Percy and Christopher LaSalle cross again. The narrative of their lives unfolds before us with great regret and much to the dismay of them both.

The New Orleans NCIS team is presented with the biggest challenge of their young lives as they face the possibility of losing one of their team members. A guilt ridden Rita Devereaux rushes to 'Nola to stand beside a devastated Christopher LaSalle. Will fate and the care and concern they share for each be much too high a price for them to pay?

We all saw that spark between Sonja Percy and Agent Chris LaSalle on the levy and the 'kiss less' goodbye at the NCIS office. There were so many unspoken words. Neither realized how much they needed each other until fate put a distance between them and destiny allowed them to meet once again.

Christopher LaSalle was thrust into the leadership of his father's company. Confused and unsure he was able to turn to the three people who cared for him the most. His mother, his boss and his work partner. Each had a special gift to give him and build him up as he faced each difficult day.

The men of NCIS New Orleans knew pain. Broken marriages, lost comrades, death of loved ones, Katrina, devastating injuries and painful relationships with parents had touched each of their lives. None of them had suffered from that pain more than Chris LaSalle.

Trying to help, Tammy looked through Christopher LaSalle's desk for old case files. She came across a jewelry box with a locket. On the back of the locket was an inscription "I will miss you forever". Inside she found a photo of Christopher LaSalle and Sonja Percy. Damnit LaSalle, this could have made all the difference in the world. She returned the locket to the drawer and wiped the tears from her eyes as she walked back upstairs to the conference room.

It took 18 months but Chris La Salle was finally able to return to duty after nearly dying after being shot by his brother's killer. King was so proud of him that he had worked so hard to get back into physical shape. Although the Director had serious doubts, he listened to his head shrink Jack Sloan and the Senior Field Agent. For some reason Tammy bore the brunt of his frustration and with that burden warned others just to stay way until he was back on his feet. To his dismay, he had no idea that warning was heeded by his former partner Sonja Percy. Fate finally allowed their reunion. And that is where this story begins.

With Special Agent Duane Pride fully recovered and back on duty, the daily routine allows the entire team to fully observe the void that Percy's departure has left. King's near death experience sends Agent Chris LaSalle into his own place of anguish leaving him to question his life and the hole in his heart.

Stevie Wonder and Syreeta Wright wrote a tear jerker love song 'I Never Dreamed You'd Leave in Summer'. The day that Christopher LaSalle heard it, his heart could not tolerate the words. He realized that he had made a major mistake and now he would be alone in the quiet nights, in springtime, in summer and winter as well as autumn.

Christopher LaSalle faced another horrible tragic loss in life - the murder of his brother Cade. We were all shocked by the conclusion of his quest to find the killer. Some of us still think back to the interaction between Sonja Percy and Christopher in the squad room the day that she left NCIS when he spoke of "what might have been" and wondered as well.
