I ship Nello a lot (NearXMello) so I wanted to right a FanFiction on them!! I suck at writing so be warned. This takes place after the Kira Investigation and MELLO DOES NOT DIE! (Spoiler)

Near and Mello have been together for a long time. Mello works the streets as a mafia leader while Near is a crime solver. As always, they have their ups and downs, will they survive?

Near was so young, he was only 13 and he was expected to be as good as L when it came to dealing with the Kira case. He tried as hard as he could, but time and time again he proved to not be as good as L. One night, after Near says he's tired and goes to bed, Mello hears him crying. When he opens the door, he seems to understand why Near isn't ready to deal with all this stress, Because Near is a little.

Mellox Near. It was always Mello's job to 'babysit' Near when the younger boy was ill, which seemed to happen frequently. Mello despised catering to the white-haired boy, spending the day complaining constantly about the task. Mello may soon regret his words. There is a boy new to the Fallen Leaves Mental Hospital that just came today and Near thinks that he's the key to unleashing the voices. But the voices keep convincing him otherwise...
