Hey, folks, first time poster. Below is a short story of mine. It's a little bit of a love letter to the slasher genre and video game I play. It's been a very long time since I've written a single word (25) years and it took an old friend to re-spark the dream. Anyway, this was practice for me to.....I guess find a voice, get some words down, see where it went. I mean, it's garbage, but that's okay. I think it went well for what it is. IDK, you tell me. All feedback welcome.

This was actually a school project, so its a bit longer than my normal short stories. Typical murder mystery, only this time the man was murdered right in front of everyone at the dinner table, but no one saw this happen. How does a man get murdered right in front of you and you not notice???

Is it ever a good idea to go into an abandoned building on Halloween? Nope. Am I going to go in there to grab my friends necklace? Yep. So you break onto private property and your friend drops her necklace into a building, the only solution is to go and get it. So time to grow a pair and face the endless spooky halls.
