We had a free book mobile at the truck n treat and i went inside to grab a free book. After wandering and seeing the covers, the book stood out to me. The golden foil, 7- headed serpents and what stood out to me the most was the girl in the center holding a bow. She was Indian? and wearing a kurta? I stared at the book and without a second thought grabbed it and ran out the book mobile ready to go home. I read the Serpent's Secret when I was 10, and this book held a special place in my heart. Being Bengali, it was amazing to see representation of my culture. Fast-forward: I'm now 17, and stumbled on this book after cleaning my room and reread it again. I loved the idea and concept, but the writing was to say the least, a bit cringe... To her(author) defense, it was meant for 12 year olds, But what if it got a rewrite for teenagers, instead of middle schooler. Soo... I wanted to edit this book. (okay, slightly rewrite it) Here's some changes I made: Made Kiran 16 instead of 12, cause why do 12 years old have get traumatized? Fixed the cringey writing added more description increase the stakes and make Kiran a bit more badass More banter with Neel- I wanted more romance so i added it lol more Niran obv and some others I forgot to mention Without further ado, thank you! I really doubt anyone is going to read this, but as a bored child, I wrote a really random story. Normally I would just read fanfiction, but because pandemics happen, and things change, I started writing this out of the blue story. Not related to anything, but you will see random refences, and it's really bad, but yeah. I someone actually reads it, I'll update, but once again, very unlikely. Wait, why am I writing this if no ones going to see it? Never mind. This may be a little triggering, but I don't really understand that whole thing, so please don't hate if I forget a trigger warning. According to my best friend, "No drama without trauma" (she also like to write fanfiction and dumb stories), so yeah. Nira Aasha Dara is a 14 year old girl stuck in a life she didn't ask for. Her mom, aunt, and uncle are all dead, and her father is someone she wishes she never has to see again. Unfortunately, her luck is just as bad as Peter Parker's and now she has to go fulfil a prophecy, while running for the man who ruined her life, but might have also been her savior. Though you don't see it yet, there will also be some light flirting, but I don't really like love, so it's only there because my friends say that is interesting. If you ask me, the best parts about couples is the time period before they get together and all of the awkwardness. Last, and least, any characters, or references do not belong to me, and belong to their authors, as much as I wish otherwise.
