Dawn Matthews never really felt like she belonged in the world. Before it ended, that is. And now that it has ended, she still has no idea where she belongs. But spending months alone has told her one thing - she doesn't wish to be with people. And so when a cop finds her and basically forces her to join his group by holding her against her will, she's desperate for a way out. A way to find her way back to a life of solitude and life without loss.
