Matt comes in unannounced just to tell you that you didn't have to come into work that day

"Jackson, stop this right now." "Mama, I don't know what's happening." - "I'm Matt. Matthew Murdock. I'm your lawyer, do you know what a lawyer is?" The boy shook his head and cowered in his seat, blue and red flashing lights illuminating the interior of the police station. Radios crackled and coffee cups thudded against desks. "A lawyer is someone who helps someone explain their side of the story. You're not in any trouble," Matt took a silent note at how the boy seemed to relax at this, his breathing slowing like a turbulent river meeting the ocean, "I'm just here to help you explain what you saw. Does that sound okay?"

In which Oliver is kind of an egotistical D until he's not, Foggy is a D as well (with a reason though), Diggle is being a father despite not having actual kids, Felicity meets someone who put their feet in their mouth almost as often as she does, Terri is everything but subtle about her crush and Vera learns Hawkeye is not the only archer in the world and that she may need to rethink her life choices. More or less in that order. It's definitely less funny and more angsty than it sounds. Set during Damned If I Don't between chapters 'The punch-line' and 'Strong enough to stand'. Arrow somewhere in season 2, because OTA - Original Team Arrow ♥.

You moved to New York to go to art school, not sure what else to do with your life. But now, having graduated you're struggling to find meaning in your life, in work. You're now a freelance artist and graphic designer living in Hell's Kitchen. An odd choice, you know, considering anywhere else in New York that you could live. But the rent's cheaper. You move to a new apartment complex, little did you know that you'd end up right across the hall from the most interesting man you've ever met. Matthew Murdock. ~~~ No Smut This isn't directly tied to the plot line of the show, but includes references to key events from it. Dropping out of college after two years and an unpleasant break-up, Vera needs a change - so when she gets an opportunity to spend some time in US, she doesn't hesitate and grab it firmly. She wasn't sure what she expected when she decided to do so, but gaining a friend whose middle name should be tornado and meeting this blind guy, who comes to a gym after hours, wasn't on her list. To be honest, an encounter with a masked vigilante wasn't there either.
