00 (Eclipse), 01 (Nosferatu) and 02 (Zeta) are three young echidnas who were turned into combat cyborgs as part of a secret military project developed by the powerful technological corporation Delta, which seeks to create the ultimate super soldier using the power of the legendary Chaos Emeralds. Project leader Dr. Naomi Akari brought these three prototypes to life using her extensive knowledge of nanotechnology and Chaos energy, but due to a mysterious laboratory incident, her creations ended up being teleported to different locations around the planet. Since then, Delta and the military have been secretly searching for their super soldiers, managing to recover only one. Lost and suffering from amnesia, these three cyborgs will wake up in a totally new world for them, which is under the threat of two fearsome enemies: The megalomaniac and robotics genius, Dr. Eggman, and the Cyberpunk mercenaries, who are led by the mysterious and diabolical Dr. Havoc. These circumstances will not only test the three cyborgs' powers, but will also lead them to make decisions that will define the course of their new lives. Project R is a science fiction and adventure story that takes place in an alternate version of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.
