In a ruined post-human world, the remains of civilisation have collapsed into corporate feudalism, gang kingdoms, machine cults, and drowned cities. Humanity has forgotten how to build the ancient sentient war machines that once fought its wars, so now it worships, enslaves, trades, and abuses them like gods, weapons, saints, and relics. The story follows Doctor Cassian Veyr, a dying and damaged scientist from the old world, and SAINT-13, one of the last true sentient war machines. SAINT-13 is feared as a divine weapon, but beneath his perfect armour he is slowly failing, each battle costing him irreplaceable pieces of himself. At its core, the story is about what remains after empire, war, and technology outlive their creators. It explores whether machines can have souls, whether obedience is the same as purpose, whether worship is just another form of ownership, and whether humanity deserves the gods it built and then broke. It is a dark sci-fi story about dying gods, broken makers, machine personhood, religious decay, war trauma, and the ruins of human ambition.
