The ink is gone before he can get out the 'iel' of his first name. He pulls apart the pen, dissecting it from spring and plastic. The tip falls out and he realizes how similar the shiny piece looks to a bullet. It's poetic, in a way. His time is nearly gone.

A harmless hike turns awry when Nikki finds a Book of Ancient Spells. Despite Harrison's and Nerris's warnings, she recites a random spell, and seemingly nothing happens. She discards the book and everyone goes to bed. But unknowns to everyone, the spell worked. Now its a race against time to find the book and reverse the spell, before the campers and councilors are stuck the way they are, Forever.
