Ness and his friends are enthusiastic about the impending new school year. But all is not well in the mushroom kingdom. Watch as this story unfolds with drama, heartbreak, and amazing plot twists.

Ness was popular in middle school with a little secret under his belt, he's gay. He doesn't like to open up about his feelings to anyone. Now he's starting high school with his friends and is a little bit caught up in his thoughts. Then a blonde kid named Lucas comes along. Lucas is Ness' only chance of opening up, but there are things both boys have yet to still learn about each other that could make things rather complicated. . . Lucas had always been good friends with Ness. Over time he fell in love with his hat wearing friend. Only one problem. After all the hatred, being separated from loved ones and the damn bullies that target you everywhere you seek attention to your existence, you've given up. But, you're still colorful, yet you've tossed the blue and yellow striped tees, and sought elsewhere. You enjoy the lack of color. It seems, calming, understanding. You're gray. You're depressing and you show your lack of color confidently, but it's not like anyones looking. But none the less, you are Ness. I mean, society always said to be yourself right?

This is a small non cannon part of the smashing series as not all of the one-shots contained in this book will be full cannon to the story or will have AU ideas that I just sort of came up with and was too lazy to make into a full story. anyways I plan on updating this book a lot more now that I know people are reading it.
