He did make a promise to himself to stay away but he knew he'd regret missing his fathers funeral. He returns to Forks and he comes to find that things didn't turn out the way he'd hoped... What became of Nessie? Does she blame Jacob for what happened? or does she even remember him at all?... And who is the guy Nessie is with that makes Jacob decide to stay?.
