It's a story about me... It's not fictional. It's a real story about my neurodivergence and how I came to be and am getting through life. I want to pass on knowledge i have learned and also share some of my funny moments and slips ups!

There are a lot of stories out there about autistic people, mentally ill people, and disabled people...but very little of it is written from OUR point of view. We always hear from our parents and exes how unmanageable we are, how toxic, how annoying. They smirk over our oddities and delight in laying our private lives bare in a way that shows what martyrs they are for having to put up with us. There are very few romances about us, and even fewer that show the depth and joy of our relationships. These are true stories of our happily-ever-afters, of our loving families, of our complex friendships. These are windows into the difficulties we face trying to connect with others, express our feelings. This is our chance to tell these stories from OUR point of view-as the ones who are different, who don't know how to act "right", who do things that people see as odd and annoying. We accept narrative nonfiction, essays, poetry, graphic novels...anything that shows our relationships from OUR point of view. I will I think be doing this as a series of different stories, so that each person can do more than one chapter if they like, and keep adding to it if they like. I think that will make it easier to read than making each person's piece a different chapter. So, this first book will be my own story.

Anna is a young girl who doesn't act quite like her friends...or her parents...or quite like anyone, really. Anna grows up wondering what in the world is wrong with her. Nobody explains anything to her. People talk in front of her like she's not there. She gets looks when she does things that are just normal to her. This is a story told in entirely poetry of Anna, her struggles and victories, adventures and misadventures, passions and interests. While Anna feels alone...she's really just one of the many people who are neurodivergent- a more modern term for mentally ill, or disabled. "Ambush." was written for neurodivergent people, by a young neurodivergent teen who seeks to be properly represented in the media. "Ambush." seeks to break the trend of us neurodivergent people being seen as monsters, weirdos, disappointments, and useless to society. We exist, and we will be heard! Anna was raised where people didn't know about neurodivergence. Anna wasn't treated properly, no one would listen to her and nothing was explained to her, so her mental health suffered even more. We need to talk more about mental illness. Anna is by all rights, a wonderful person, and so is every neurodivergent person, but society teaches us that we are wrong, gross, and shouldn't exist. I want to work towards stopping that trend. By writing "Ambush.", I wanted to provide a character that was easy to relate to. I wanted to write about things that some neurodivergent people go through. I wanted to do something to help end the stigma. I know my little poetry book about a neurodivergent girl probably won't do a lot, but I hope it does something. Thanks for being here and reading!

When I typed 'adhd' on wattpad, I realized that there were very few pieces of works in relation to neurodivergence. I decided to post my own diary entries to, hopefully, provide relatable content for my fellow adhd folks. You are not alone. Extract from the preface: "As I went through my teenage years, I always felt somewhat different from my classmates. I could never quite put into words what made me feel this way. I was rarely able to form long-lasting relationships, whether it be platonic or romantic ones. Yet I always loved people deeply. I was always so incredibly bored in class. Yet, I had really good grades. I always felt like an outsider. Yet, I had a group of friends and romantic interests. That's the thing about adhd; it is incredibly contradictory..." Disclaimer: This is my just experience. Therefore, the issues discussed should not / cannot be applied to every neurodivergent person.

All 143 and more details ...143= I love you ...Y/N L/N ...A bartender. The meaning of "143" is "I love you". It's a coded message derived from the number of letters in each word of the phrase: "I" (1 letter), "love" (4 letters), and "You" (3 letters). The term was popularized in the 1990s with the use of pagers and early text messaging and is still used today as a discreet way to express affection. This fic is gender neutral for sake of immersion.
