Inspired by the author's memoir. Follow Lucy through her childhood in the late 1990s and early 2000s as she grows up with autism and ADHD in a world that doesn't always understand her. From being labelled the naughty girl at school to feeling like she doesn't belong, Lucy struggles to make friends, find her place and understand why she sees the world differently from everyone around her. But as Lucy grows older, she begins to discover that being different doesn't mean she can't succeed. This is the story of the girl with the curls - the girl who was misunderstood, the girl who felt alone, and the girl who refused to give up.
