And now, with the curtains closed, I-" Her voice wavered. "I don't know who I am anymore." A soft breeze passed between them. The city of Fontaine continued to thrive below, its people moving forward. But Furina remained frozen, trapped in a past that no longer existed. Neuvillette, however, did not pity her. "You have carried this burden alone for centuries," he said quietly. "It is only natural to feel unmoored now that it has been lifted." She scoffed lightly, though there was no real malice in it. "That's just a polite way of saying I'm lost, isn't it?" A faint smile ghosted Neuvillette's lips. "Perhaps." Furina exhaled sharply, shaking her head. "I want to leave," she murmured. "Start fresh. Find a new home." She let out a humorless chuckle. "I have money, at least. Being an Archon paid well." Neuvillette did not disagree. "...But I don't know where to go," she admitted. "Or who I'm supposed to be." A quiet pause. Then- "You do not have to decide everything now." Furina turned slightly, looking up at him. "The people of Fontaine do not hate you," Neuvillette continued. "You may not see it yet, but you are still a part of this nation."

Furina, an aspiring screenwriter, works on her big breakthrough in the evenings after finishing her shifts at the coffee shop, Brews. Neuvillette, new to the city, has moved for an amazing offer in the legal field. The two of them run into each other at Furina's workplace and start off completely on the wrong foot. Can they put their rocky start aside and work through their personal issues to find their way to each other?

Furina was in doubt about what to give Neuvillette for his birthday.

The story has altered canonical facts. Furina is a young pianist who dropped out of school because she wanted to make a living from her art, so the town judge is contacted to ensure that the young woman is okay and will return to school.

This happened around after the Fontaine Archon Quest. Furina was just a person controlled by Focalors. Furina sacrificed too much, but why don't the people of Fontaine see that? Why hate her for that? Maybe it will be better if she just disappeared.
